Okay, so, I got into this whole tarot card reading thing a while back. I heard it was a neat way to get some clarity in life and figure out what’s going on inside your head. So, I grabbed a deck and started messing around with it.
At first, I just pulled a card each day. I’d shuffle the deck, think about my day or a problem I was having, and then I’d draw a card. I’d look at the picture and read the little guidebook that came with the deck to see what it was supposed to mean. Honestly, some days it felt like a bunch of mumbo jumbo. But other days, it was kind of spooky how much the card seemed to relate to what I was going through.
Then I started doing these things called “spreads.” That’s where you lay out multiple cards in a specific pattern, and each position in the pattern represents something different, like your past, present, future, or your hopes and fears. Those readings were way more involved. I actually started writing down the cards I got and what I thought they meant in a notebook.
- First, I would decide what spread to use.
- Second, I would shuffle and draw the cards.
- Third, I wrote down the results in my notebook.
It was like keeping a weird, symbolic diary. I’d look back on old readings and see how things had changed or how my feelings about a situation had evolved.
Get My Own Deck
It was also interesting to see how my understanding of the cards deepened over time. At first, I was totally reliant on the guidebook. But after a while, I started to develop my own interpretations based on the imagery and my own intuition. I felt like I was forming a personal connection with the deck.
One day, I decided to take it a step further and try reading for other people. That was nerve-wracking! But it was also really rewarding. It felt good to help my friends gain some insight into their own lives, even if it was just through a few cards. And it was cool to see how the same card could mean different things to different people.
So, yeah, that’s my tarot journey so far. It’s been a fun and interesting way to explore my inner world and connect with others. I’m still no expert, but I enjoy the process, and that’s what matters. It’s like a little ritual that helps me slow down, reflect, and maybe learn something new about myself along the way.
