Okay, so, I’ve been digging into this whole “Chicago School of Professional Psychology jobs” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been quite the journey. I really wanted to get a solid understanding of what’s out there in terms of job opportunities with this institution, so I rolled up my sleeves and got to work.
First, I started broadly, hitting up the usual suspects like Indeed and some other similar websites. I just typed in “Chicago School of Professional Psychology jobs” and, boom, a bunch of listings popped up. I saw everything from faculty positions to administrative roles, event directors, and even some adjunct faculty spots. It was a real mixed bag, which was actually pretty cool to see.
Then, I started to narrow my focus a bit. I noticed a lot of mentions of the Psy. D. School Psychology Program and its APA accreditation. It seems like a big deal for them, and it definitely seemed to add some weight to the job listings related to that program.
I also found that the Chicago School is part of this bigger non-profit network, called the TCS Education System. I thought that was pretty interesting, and it made me realize that working for the Chicago School might also open doors to other opportunities within this network. There seems to be a lot of opportunity for someone looking to grow within this institution, or at least within this network.
I spent a good chunk of time reading through job descriptions. One that caught my eye was for adjunct faculty positions in the Business Psychology Department. They’re looking for HR folks who can bring real-world experience to the classroom. Seemed like they have a great Business Psychology department that is growing.
I also checked out a site called HigherEdJobs, which, as you can guess, is all about jobs in higher education. The Chicago School had a bunch of listings there, too. It was helpful to see all their openings in one place like that. After searching through the site it seemed like they keep this information updated frequently.
Throughout this whole process, I made a list of the different types of jobs I found:
- Faculty (both full-time and adjunct)
- Director of Events
- Copy Editor
- Compliance Officer
- Various administrative roles
The Wrap-Up
So, after all this digging, what did I learn? Well, it seems like the Chicago School of Professional Psychology offers a wide range of jobs, from teaching to administrative support. The APA accreditation of their Psy. D. program is definitely a plus, and being part of the TCS Education System seems to add another layer of opportunity. Overall, I came away with a much better understanding of the job landscape at the Chicago School, and I feel like anyone interested in working there would have a good chance of finding something that fits their skills and interests. For me, I felt like the Business Psychology department was the most appealing with my prior knowledge and experience. I will probably keep looking into that department in the future.
