Okay, so let’s talk about this whole “Christopher Block, BA of Psychology” thing. I’ve been digging into it, and here’s what I’ve been up to.
First off, I wanted to figure out who this Christopher Block guy even is. I started by, you know, just Googling him. Turns out, he’s some kind of psychologist based in Louisville, Kentucky. I saw his office address mentioned a couple of times – 9400 Williamsburg Plz, Suite 300. Sounds fancy, right?
Then I got a little more serious. I wanted to see what he actually does. From what I gathered, he’s into psychological testing and evaluations. He checks out people’s intelligence, personality, all that brainy stuff. Apparently, he’s also been involved in teaching adult learners, and has even worked with St. Luke Center for community substance programs.
I kept going, trying to piece together his career. He’s a licensed psychologist, and was at one point on the clinical staff at St. Luke Institute in Silver Spring, Maryland. So, he’s moved around a bit. He was also an Associate Professor of Psychology, and he loved teaching general and developmental psychology. It’s like he has a little bit of experience in the psychology world.
Here’s a breakdown of my little investigation so far:
- Scoured the web: Basically, I just used search engines to see what popped up when I typed in his name.
- Focused on locations: I noticed he’s mainly associated with Louisville, but also found a Maryland connection.
- Looked into his work: Figured out he does psychological testing and has some teaching experience.
- Checked out his past roles: Found out about his stint at St. Luke Institute and being an Associate Professor.
What Did I Learn About Psychology?
While I was at it, I also brushed up on my basic psychology knowledge. I learned that blocking is a learning phenomenon where you don’t learn much about a new stimulus if it’s paired with something you already know predicts the outcome. It is kind of interesting, I guess.
I also read a little about developmental psychology – how people change over their lifespan, from being a baby all the way to old age. And, of course, I refreshed my memory on what psychology is all about – the scientific study of the mind and behavior. It’s all about observing, interpreting, and recording how people relate to each other and their surroundings.
So, that’s where I’m at with this Christopher Block thing. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but it’s pretty cool to see how it all fits together. I’m still not totally sure what I’ll do with all this info, but hey, it’s been an interesting ride. You know, just another day of exploring and learning something new!
