Alright, so yesterday I tried something new. I got into tarot cards. Yeah, I know, it sounds a bit out there, but I was curious, so I gave it a shot.
First off, I went online and found a decent-looking deck. Ordered it, and it arrived pretty quickly. I unboxed it and, I gotta say, the artwork on these cards is amazing. Each card has its own unique image, and they’re all pretty detailed and colorful.
Next, I needed to figure out how to actually use these things. I found a simple guide online that explained the basics of a tarot reading. It said to shuffle the cards while thinking about a question or situation. So, I did that. I shuffled the deck a few times, trying to focus on what’s been going on in my life lately.
My First Tarot Reading
Once I felt like I had shuffled enough, I cut the deck into three piles and then put them back into one. Then, I started laying out the cards in a spread. I chose a simple three-card spread – past, present, and future. Sounds easy enough, right?
The first card I turned over was meant to represent the past. It was some card with a picture of a guy hanging upside down. I looked up the meaning in the guide, and it was something about seeing things from a different perspective. It kind of made sense, given some old decisions I’ve been rethinking lately.
The second card was the present. This one showed a bunch of people holding cups, all happy and celebrating. The guide said it’s about community and joy. Honestly, it felt a bit off since things have been pretty stressful lately, but maybe it’s a sign to reach out to friends more. We always plan to get some beer next time.
And then there’s the future card. It was The Sun. This card is super bright and positive, and according to the guide, it means success, optimism, and good things coming my way. I really hope that’s true. It’s a nice thought to hold onto, especially with all the uncertainty these days.
Reflecting on the Reading
After laying out all the cards, I spent some time just looking at them and thinking about what they could mean. It’s not like I suddenly have all the answers, but it did give me a different way to think about my current situation. It’s like, these cards got me to pause and reflect, and that’s not something I usually do.
- The Hanged Man (Past): Rethinking old choices.
- The Cups (Present): Maybe focus on the good stuff around me.
- The Sun (Future): Hoping for the best, fingers crossed.
So, that was my first go at a tarot reading. It was interesting, to say the least. I’m not sure if I’m a believer now, but I can see why people get into it. It’s a fun way to explore your thoughts and maybe get a little hope for the future. I might try it again sometime, maybe when I’m feeling extra lost or just need a new way to look at things. I think it will help me a lot in the future.
That’s my tarot experience for now. It was a cool little adventure, and who knows, maybe I’ll become a tarot pro someday. For now, I’m just keeping it as a fun, reflective tool. I will practice it more and more.
