I saw a post about makeup horoscopes the other day, and it got me thinking, why not give it a try? So I decided to dive in and see what this whole zodiac makeup thing is all about.
First, I needed to figure out my zodiac sign. I used one of those online calculators where you just punch in your birth date. Turns out, I’m a Gemini. Who knew?
Next, I started looking up what kind of makeup looks are supposed to be good for Geminis. It was kind of overwhelming, honestly. There’s a bunch of stuff out there, and everyone seems to have a different opinion. Some people were saying Geminis should go for bold and bright colors, while others were suggesting more natural and subtle looks.
I spent a good chunk of time scrolling through Instagram and beauty blogs, trying to get some inspiration. I found this makeup artist, Setareh Hosseini, who does these crazy detailed zodiac-inspired looks. They were super intense, not really something I’d wear on a regular day, but it was cool to see the artistry.
After all that research, I decided to just go with what I felt like. I mean, who says I have to follow some horoscope makeup rules, right? I picked out a few things from my makeup bag that I thought would be fun to play with.
I started with a glittery eyeshadow, because why not? I figured it kind of matched the whole “two sides of a Gemini” thing. I blended it out with a darker shade in the crease to give it some depth. Then I added some liquid eyeliner and mascara to make my eyes pop.
For my lips, I went with a limited-edition liquid lipstick from Maybelline. I heard they had a zodiac collection, so I figured it was fate. The color was this cool, kind of shimmery shade. I think it worked pretty well with the eyeshadow.
I didn’t really do much with my skincare or hair. I just followed my usual routine. I guess I could have tried to find some zodiac-inspired products for those too, but it seemed like a bit much. Besides, I was more interested in the makeup part.
- Found my zodiac sign: Used an online calculator.
- Researched Gemini makeup looks: Instagram, beauty blogs, you name it.
- Got inspired by Setareh Hosseini: Her looks are wild!
- Picked out some makeup: Glittery eyeshadow, liquid lipstick.
- Did my makeup: Followed my gut, not the stars.
- Skipped the zodiac skincare/hair stuff: Seemed like overkill.
In the end, I was pretty happy with how it turned out. It wasn’t anything too crazy, but it was fun to try something different. I don’t know if I’ll be doing this whole zodiac makeup thing regularly, but it was definitely an interesting experiment.
