Okay, so today I messed around with something called “random tarot.” I’ve always been a little curious about tarot cards, you know, the whole mystical vibe and all that. So I thought, why not give it a shot?
Getting Started
First, I grabbed a deck of tarot cards that I had lying around. I have to admit that I don’t know much about tarot reading, so I decided to keep it simple. I figured I’d just draw a few cards and see what they had to say.
Shuffling and Drawing
I started by shuffling the deck, just like you would with regular playing cards. I shuffled them good, trying to focus my mind on, well, nothing in particular. I didn’t have a specific question in mind. Then, I spread the cards out face down on the table. I closed my eyes for a moment, took a deep breath, and started picking cards.
- The first card I drew was the “Magician.” I looked at the picture on the card, it is the guy with the robe and has the table with the tools. I flipped over a few pages in the little booklet that came with the deck, and it talked about new beginnings, creativity, and resourcefulness.
- Next, I picked the “Two of Cups.” This one shows two people holding cups, and there’s a winged lion head above them. I thought it is some kind of celebration. The booklet mentioned partnership, harmony, and connection.
- The last card I pulled was the “Seven of Swords.” This one is a bit more tricky. It shows a guy sneaking away with five swords, leaving two behind. This must mean something I thought. The booklet suggested themes of deception, betrayal, and strategy.
Making Sense of It All
After drawing the cards, I spent some time just looking at them and reading the descriptions in the booklet. I didn’t understand it very well. But to be honest, I didn’t really have a specific question in mind, so I wasn’t expecting any mind-blowing revelations.
Still, it was an interesting experience. It got me thinking about the different aspects of my life – my goals, my relationships, and the challenges I’m facing. I guess you could say it was a bit like a mini-meditation session.
I don’t know if I’ll become a regular tarot reader, but it was definitely a fun experiment. It reminded me that sometimes it’s good to just go with the flow and see where things take you. Maybe next time I’ll try it with a specific question in mind and see what happens.
