Then, I got curious and started looking into how this whole thing works. Apparently, Chinese astrology is pretty old, like, Han Dynasty old. They used the Chinese calendar and the stars to come up with it. Each year is linked to an animal, and they have this whole cycle thing going on.
I also found out that they split the day into 12 parts, kind of like 2-hour chunks, and each part has an animal too. It’s all pretty complex, but kinda interesting once you get into it. Each animal has their own personalities.
They also talk about this “Period 9” thing, which is like a 20-year chunk of time. We’re in it right now, from 2024 to 2043. I’m not sure what it all means, but it seems like a big deal in Chinese astrology.
Finding Your Chinese Zodiac Year
Anyway, I found this chart that shows you the dates for each animal year. It’s not just January 1st to December 31st, though. It goes by the Chinese New Year, which can be in January or February. So, you gotta check the chart to be sure.
