Now listen here, my dear, I’m gonna tell you all about this fellow, Alexander the Great, and his horoscope. They say he was born way back in the year 356 BC, somewhere in a place called Pella in Macedonia. That’s mighty far from here, I reckon, but still, he was born on the 22nd of July. Some folks say it was between 10 and 12 in the night when he first came into this world. Ain’t that somethin’! They sure didn’t have all the fancy gadgets back then to tell the time like we do now, but that’s what they say.
Now, if you take a look at his astrology chart—what they call his horoscope—you’ll see somethin’ mighty interestin’. They say Alexander the Great was born under the Cancer sign. That means he’s one of them water signs, like Pisces and Scorpio. I ain’t no astrologer, but I reckon that means he was a bit emotional, maybe even a little sensitive, even though he was mighty strong and brave. His symbol’s a crab, which don’t make no sense to me, but they say that’s what it is. Crabs are known to be tough on the outside but soft on the inside, and that’s probably how folks saw Alexander. He didn’t let people see him cry, but deep down, maybe he had some feelings, just like us all.
They also say that he was born in the late hours, which is unusual, but that means he could’ve had a whole lot of energies surrounding him when he was born. The stars and planets, they say, can tell you things about a person even before they’re born, and that’s what folks tried to figure out when they looked at Alexander’s chart. He was a conqueror, no doubt about it. From Greece all the way to India, he made a big name for himself. Some folks think his birth chart might’ve had a lot to do with that. I don’t know about all that, but I reckon it can’t hurt to think about.
Now, don’t go gettin’ me wrong. I don’t believe in all that star nonsense, but I’ve heard tell that some folks put a lot of stock in it. They say a person’s birth chart can tell you how they’ll live, what they might face, and what’s comin’ their way. I can’t say for sure, but if I were to take a wild guess, I’d say Alexander’s chart probably had a lot to do with how he became such a mighty man. With all them planets line up just right, he was bound to go far, they say.
What’s even more interestin’, I think, is how people look back and try to figure out his exact birth time and place. Some folks got it in their heads that he wasn’t born on the 22nd of July but maybe the 6th of some old Greek month. Now, that sounds confusing, don’t it? They say this 6th day might line up with the 20th of July in our calendar, but who knows for sure? I reckon it don’t matter much in the grand scheme of things, but it sure is fun to think about.
Some folks even got a different chart for him. They found it in an old book, one called “Collection of divers choice Nativities” by a fellow named Gadbury, published back in 1662. They say this chart says Alexander was born in 357 BC, not 356. Now, that’s a whole ‘nother story, ain’t it? But folks sure like to argue about these things, even if it’s been so many years.
But, no matter when or where he was born, there’s no denying Alexander the Great was somethin’ special. They say he was born to lead and conquer, and that’s just what he did. From the time he was young, he was trained to fight and think like a warrior. They say he learned under the philosopher Aristotle himself. Imagine that, a king learnin’ from one of the smartest men to ever live! With a teacher like that, it’s no wonder he turned out to be such a great leader. His horoscope might not have told him everything, but it sure seemed to point him in the right direction.
Now, what about the rest of his life? What did the stars say about that? Well, the horoscope might’ve given us some clues about that too. Some say his Cancer sign made him emotional, even when it came to his battles and his empire. The Cancer folks, they say, tend to be loyal and protective, and that fits Alexander. He wanted to protect his people and spread his influence, even if it meant going to war. They also say Cancer folks can be a bit moody, and I reckon Alexander had his share of bad days. He wasn’t always the easiest man to get along with, that’s for sure.
Now, if you ask me, I reckon Alexander’s horoscope was only part of the story. He might’ve had all the stars and planets lined up just right, but it was his grit, his determination, and maybe even a little bit of luck that made him great. He wasn’t just born with a silver spoon in his mouth; he had to fight for everything he got. But that’s what makes him stand out. He was a man of action, a man who didn’t wait around for things to happen. He made ’em happen. And maybe, just maybe, that’s what his stars were tryin’ to tell us all along. Ain’t that somethin’ to think about?
In the end, though, one thing’s for sure: Alexander the Great sure made his mark on history. Whether it was his horoscope or his drive, he left behind a legacy that still gets talked about today. So the next time you hear about astrology, or maybe about someone who’s born under Cancer, you might just think about Alexander and what those stars might’ve said about him. You never know, it might just tell you a little somethin’ you didn’t know before.
