Okay, so, today I messed around with this thing called “Tarot Card Howling Wolf NYT.” Sounds kinda mystical, right? I was curious, so I decided to give it a shot. First off, I tried to find out what the heck it was all about. I mean, tarot cards, howling wolves, and The New York Times? What’s the connection?
Turns out, it’s some kind of art project thingy. Apparently, there’s this artist who makes these tarot cards with a picture of a howling wolf, and it got featured in The New York Times. Cool, I guess.
Getting My Hands Dirty
So, I figured I’d try to make one of these tarot cards myself. I grabbed some cardboard and started drawing. Now, I’m no artist, but I did my best to sketch out a wolf howling at the moon. It looked more like a confused dog, but hey, I was having fun.
Next, I wanted to make it look all old and mystical like those fancy tarot cards you see in movies. I brewed some strong coffee and used it to stain the cardboard. It was a messy process, coffee dripping everywhere, but the card did end up looking kinda aged. Not sure if it was “mystical” aged, but definitely “I spilled coffee on it” aged.
Details, Details
I remembered reading that the original cards had some symbols and stuff on them. So, I just scribbled some random lines and dots, hoping it would look like some ancient, secret language. It probably just looked like I had no idea what I was doing, which, to be fair, was true.
After letting the card dry (and cleaning up the coffee mess), I held it up and, I gotta say, it was… something. Definitely not something The New York Times would feature, but it was my own little creation.
The Final Touch
I thought about using the card for an actual tarot reading, but then I realized I don’t know anything about reading tarot cards. So, I just stuck it on my fridge with a magnet. It’s a good conversation starter, at least. People come over, see it, and ask, “What’s that weird wolf thing?” And I get to tell them about my little art adventure.
- Started with: Curiosity about this “Tarot Card Howling Wolf NYT” thing.
- Tried to: Recreate the tarot card.
- Ended up with: A coffee-stained, strangely decorated piece of cardboard.
- Learned: I’m not an artist, but it’s fun to try new things.
- Now: I have a unique fridge magnet and a fun story to tell.
All in all, it was a fun little project. Maybe not the most productive day I’ve ever had, but hey, sometimes you just gotta howl at the moon, right? Or, in my case, draw a confused-looking wolf on a coffee-stained piece of cardboard.
