Okay, so, I stumbled upon this book, “The Only Astrology Book You’ll Ever Need”, and I thought, why not? I’ve always been a bit curious about astrology, but it always seemed so complicated. So, I picked up a copy and dove right in.
First off, I needed to figure out my sun sign, which is basically your main sign based on your birth date. I already knew I was a Gemini, so that was easy. But the book also talks about moon signs and rising signs, which I had no clue about.
Finding My Moon and Rising Signs
- To find my moon sign, I had to look up a chart in the book based on my birth year and month. It was a bit of a hassle, but I managed to find it. Turns out, my moon sign is in Sagittarius.
- Then came the rising sign, which is apparently the sign that was rising on the eastern horizon at the exact time of your birth. This one was trickier. I had to know my birth time, which thankfully my mom remembered.
- With my birth time in hand, I flipped through more charts in the book. It took some time, and honestly, I might have messed up a couple of times, but eventually, I figured out that my rising sign is Leo.
So, I’m a Gemini with a Sagittarius moon and a Leo rising. The book then goes into detail about what each of these signs means and how they interact with each other. It was a lot to take in, but I started to see how these different parts of my astrological profile could explain certain aspects of my personality.
For example, the Gemini part explains why I’m so curious and love to learn new things. The Sagittarius moon might be the reason I’m always up for an adventure and hate feeling tied down. And that Leo rising? Well, that could explain why I sometimes crave attention and enjoy being in the spotlight.
I kept reading, and the book delved into things like houses, planets, and aspects, which was a little overwhelming. Honestly, I skimmed through some of those sections. But I did learn a few more interesting things, like how the position of certain planets at the time of my birth could influence different areas of my life.
Overall, it was a pretty interesting experience. I’m not sure I’m a total astrology convert now, but I definitely have a better understanding of the basics. I still need to learn a lot, but it was an okay journey. Maybe I’ll dig deeper into those houses and aspects another day. We’ll see.
