Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another one of those things I do for fun. So, I got into this whole “tarot card of the year” deal for 2024. It’s kinda like a horoscope but with cards, you know? I figured, why not give it a shot and see what the cards have in store for me this year.
First off, I had to figure out how to even calculate this “card of the year” thing. Turns out, it’s pretty simple. You just add up the digits of the year. So for 2024, it’s like 2 + 0 + 2 + 4, which equals 8. Then, you look up which tarot card corresponds to that number. I found a few different lists, so I just picked the one that seemed most common.
My Card Is “The Strength”
For number 8, the card is “The Strength”. It’s this picture of a lady gently holding a lion’s mouth. Pretty cool, right? I’m not really sure what it means, but I dug around a bit to see what people say about it.
So, this card, “The Strength”, apparently it’s not about being physically strong, which is good ’cause I’m not exactly hitting the gym every day. It’s more about inner strength, courage, and having a gentle kind of power. Some folks said it’s about taming your inner beast, which, yeah, I can relate to that. Who doesn’t have some inner chaos to deal with, right?
From what I gathered, 2024 is going to be a year where I need to tap into that inner strength. Maybe face some fears, be a bit braver, and just handle things with a bit more grace and patience. It’s not about forcing things, but more about being in control of myself and my reactions, you feel me?
How It Works For Me
To be honest, I wasn’t sure how this whole tarot thing would play out. But I decided to just keep the “Strength” card in mind as I went about my days. I even printed out a picture of it and stuck it on my desk. Just a little reminder, you know?
And you know what? It’s kinda weird, but I feel like it’s actually helping. Like, when things get stressful, I look at the card and remember to take a deep breath. I try to be a bit more patient, with myself and with others. It’s like this little visual cue to stay calm and composed.
I’ve also been trying to be more courageous in small ways. Like, speaking up when I usually wouldn’t, or taking on a task that I find a bit intimidating. It’s not about being reckless, but just pushing myself a little bit outside of my comfort zone.
Still Got a Ways To Go
Of course, I’m not saying I’ve become this perfectly calm and courageous person overnight. I still have my moments, for sure. But I do feel like I’m more aware of my inner strength, and I’m making an effort to use it in a positive way.
It’s like, the card isn’t magic or anything. It’s just a tool. It’s up to me to actually do the work. And honestly, it feels good to be actively working on myself like this, even in a small way. It’s like I’m actually doing something rather than just letting life happen to me, ya know?
So, that’s my tarot card of the year journey so far. It’s been an interesting little experiment. I’m gonna keep this “Strength” card thing going and see where it takes me. Maybe I’ll even update y’all later in the year and let you know how it’s going.
If any of you have done this tarot card of the year thing, let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear about your card and how it’s working for you. Alright, peace out for now!
