Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get a tarot card reading for ages, and I finally did it! I went to this place in London, and I thought I’d share how it all went down.
First off, I did a bit of searching online to find a good spot. You know, checking reviews and stuff, didn’t want to end up somewhere dodgy. I found a few places that looked promising, but one in particular caught my eye. It had tons of positive reviews, and people were saying really good things about the readers there. Seemed legit, so I decided to give it a shot.
I booked an appointment online, which was super easy. They had a whole list of different readers you could choose from, each with their own little bio. I picked one that sounded like she knew her stuff, a lady named Esmeralda. Sounded mystical, right?
When I got there, the place had this really cool, calming vibe. Lots of candles, incense burning, that sort of thing. Made me feel relaxed right away. I checked in, and then waited in this comfy little waiting area for a few minutes.
Then, Esmeralda came out and called my name. She was this older woman with kind eyes and a warm smile. We went into this small, private room, and she had me sit at a table across from her. The tarot cards were already laid out, facedown.
She asked me what I wanted to focus on in the reading. I told her I was feeling a bit lost in my career and wanted some guidance. We talked for a bit, and she was really good at making me feel comfortable, like I could tell her anything.
Then, she had me shuffle the cards while thinking about my question. After that, she spread them out on the table and started turning them over, one by one. She explained what each card meant, both on its own and in relation to the other cards around it. It was pretty wild how much it seemed to resonate with what was going on in my life.
The Reading Itself
- The Hanged Man: This one came up early, and she said it represented feeling stuck and needing a change in perspective. Spot on!
- The Star: This was a hopeful one, she said it indicated that things would get better and that I should trust my intuition.
- Ten of Swords: Okay, this one was a bit scary. She said it represented a painful ending, but that it was necessary for new beginnings. Made me think!
- Ace of Cups: This was a positive card, representing new opportunities and emotional fulfillment. Gave me some hope for the future.
She gave me a lot of food for thought. Basically she told me I was at a crossroads and had some decisions to make. She gave me her honest opinion, based on the cards. The reading lasted about an hour. I really took my time to soak it all in and ask questions. Esmeralda was patient and answered everything thoroughly.
I left feeling a lot more centered and clear-headed. It wasn’t like she gave me all the answers, but the reading definitely gave me a new perspective on things. It was a really interesting experience, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who’s feeling a bit lost or just curious about tarot.
If you’re in London and looking for a tarot card reading, I’d say it’s worth checking out. Just do your research and find a reader and a place that feels right to you. It’s a unique experience, that’s for sure!
