So, I saw this thing called “Tumblr astrology” floating around the internet and I was like, “What’s that all about?” I mean, I know my sun sign and all that basic stuff, but this seemed like a whole other level. I decided to see what the hype was about.
First, I went to Tumblr itself. I already had an account from way back when, so I just logged in. I searched for things like “astrology” and “zodiac” and “birth chart” in the search bar. Man, there’s a lot of stuff on there! It was kind of overwhelming, to be honest.
I started following some of the popular astrology blogs. I saw a lot of posts about moon signs, rising signs, and something called “houses.” I had no idea what any of that meant, but people seemed really into it. People make memes, write about the planet in their chart, and even make some graphs.
Then, I figured I should probably get my own birth chart done. I found a few websites that do it for free. You just put in your birth date, time, and location, and it generates this whole chart with all these symbols and lines. It looked really complicated, but the sites usually had some basic interpretations to get you started. It helped me know some details, like my moon sign is Gemini, and my rising sign is Leo.
Once I had my chart, I went back to Tumblr to see how it all connected. I started seeing posts that made a little more sense. Like, there were explanations of what it meant to have, for instance, Venus in Capricorn. They also have these things called “aspects,” which are basically the relationships between the planets in your chart. It’s a lot to take in. I also searched my own signs, and found many posts about it, and it indeed includes some of my personalities.
I also noticed people talking about things like retrogrades and transits. Apparently, these are about how the current positions of the planets affect you. I saw a lot of posts about Mercury retrograde and how it can mess with communication and technology. Some people take it really seriously, but others make jokes about it. I saw some memes about how things go wrong during Mercury retrograde, and it was pretty funny. It’s all about how the planets are moving now and how that might be messing with your life.
What I Really Did
- Searched: Used the Tumblr search bar to find astrology content.
- Followed: Started following popular astrology blogs.
- Read: Looked at posts, memes, and discussions about different astrological concepts.
- Generated: Got my birth chart done on a free website.
- Compared: Tried to match my chart with the information I found on Tumblr.
- Observed: Noticed people talking about current astrological events like retrogrades.
Honestly, it’s been kind of a trip. I’m not sure I believe in all of it, but it’s definitely interesting. It feels like this whole secret language and community that I never knew about. There’s some accuracy in it. I also found some people share their feelings and life on it. I’m still learning, but it’s been a fun little adventure into the world of Tumblr astrology.
