Okay, so the other day I got it into my head to figure out this whole “tarot cards for your birthday” thing. I’d seen it floating around online, and, well, I’m a sucker for anything a little bit mystical. So, I decided to dive in and see what it was all about – and document the whole messy process, of course.
Finding My Cards
First things first, I needed to figure out how to actually calculate the cards. I did some digging, and it turns out there are a couple of different methods. I went with the most common one, which seemed pretty straightforward. It’s all about adding up the numbers in your birthdate.
So, I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen – very high-tech, I know – and wrote down my birthday: 07/14/1992.
Next, I needed to add all those digits together: 0 + 7 + 1 + 4 + 1 + 9 + 9+ 2 = 33.
You’re supposed to keep adding until you get a number between 1 and 22 (because there are 22 Major Arcana cards in a tarot deck). I lucked out the first time! 33 isn’t it, though. So, one more step: 3 + 3 = 6.
Boom! My number is 6. I then check the Tarot card.

Then repeat this until I get a number in between 1-22
So,I did all the calculations, and figured out my two main cards.
Making Sense of It All
Now, I’m no tarot expert, okay? Not even close. The next task is figuring out the meaning behind these cards
It was all a bit of a fun experiment, really. I’m not sure how much I believe in the whole tarot thing, but it was definitely interesting to see what cards came up and how they might relate to my life. Kind of like a quirky personality test, but with more fancy pictures.
