Okay, so today I dove into something called “existential phenomenological psychology.” Sounds fancy, huh? But honestly, I was just curious about how we make sense of our own existence, you know, that feeling of “Why am I even here?”

Getting Started
First, I tried to get my head around the basic ideas. Existential stuff is all about our freedom, choices, and responsibility. And phenomenology is about, well, experiencing things. So, I figured this whole thing was about understanding how we experience our own existence.
My Little Experiment
Then I start to think, Ok I’m ready to find the experiment way to do it.
- I tried to make a space for myself and try to be super aware of everything I was feeling and thinking.
- I try to found a question for myself, What is the meaning of my life?
- I just record all of my feel.
What I Found
I jotted down everything that came to mind: My anxieties about the future, the joy I get from simple things, the confusion about my purpose… It was a messy mix of everything!
Making Sense of the Mess
After that, I tried to find patterns. I noticed I kept coming back to certain themes: My relationships, my desire to create things, my fear of not mattering. It’s like these were the core things shaping my experience of being me.

This wasn’t about finding some grand answer to the meaning of life. It was more like… holding up a mirror to my own messy, beautiful, confusing existence. And you know what? That felt pretty meaningful in itself.
