Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this idea of making a “tarot coin” – kind of like a lucky charm, but with a tarot twist. I’m not super into tarot, you know, like reading fortunes and stuff, but I really dig the art and the overall vibe.

First, I brainstormed what I actually wanted. Did I want a specific card image? Or something more general? I decided to go with the Sun card – positive vibes, good energy, all that jazz. Plus, the imagery is pretty straightforward.
Finding the Right Materials
Next up was figuring out the physical coin part. I thought about using clay, but I’m clumsy, and it would probably end up looking like a lumpy potato. So, I hit up a craft store and grabbed some of those blank metal discs – the kind people use for stamping or engraving. I also picked up some strong adhesive and some fine-tipped permanent markers.

Putting it All Together
I started by sketching out a simplified version of the Sun card design on paper. I’m no artist, so I kept it super basic – a big circle for the sun, some rays, maybe a little smiley face. Then, very carefully, I traced that design onto one of the metal discs using a pencil. After that I use the fine-tipped permanent markers to draw the final version.
After I finished the draw, I use the adhesive to stick the coin together.

It’s not perfect, of course. The lines aren’t super clean, and it definitely looks handmade. But, hey, that’s part of the charm, right? I’ve been carrying it around in my pocket for a few days now, and honestly, it does make me feel a little bit…brighter. Maybe it’s the Sun card energy, or maybe it’s just the satisfaction of making something with my own two hands. Either way, I’m calling it a win!
