Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this here “Apokalypsis Tarot Deck.” I ain’t no fancy scholar or nothin’, but I reckon I can spin a yarn or two about it. See, they say it’s got somethin’ to do with “revelations of truth and light.” Sounds mighty grand, don’t it? Like them preachers hollerin’ on Sunday mornin’. But hold yer horses, it ain’t just about that.
Now, I heard tell this deck ain’t like them old ones they used to play cards with way back when. This fella, Erik Dunne, he made it. They say he also made somethin’ called “Tarot Illuminati” before this one. Don’t ask me what that is, sounds like somethin’ them city folk dream up. Anyways, this Apokalypsis deck, it’s got pictures on it, they call ’em “illustrations.” And these pictures, they ain’t just painted, no sir. They say he used “digital photography” and “computer system art.” See? Told ya it was fancy.
What’s in this deck, you ask? Well, they say it’s got 79 cards. Now, I ain’t sure why they need that extra card, most decks I’ve seen have 78, but like I said, I ain’t no expert. These cards, they got all sorts of pictures on ’em. Some look spooky, some look kinda pretty, and some just plain don’t make no sense to me. But that’s the thing about these tarot cards, ain’t it? They supposed to mean somethin’ more than what you just see.
- They say it can tell ya about the future. Like, if you gonna have good luck or bad luck, if you gonna find love or lose it. I ain’t sure I believe all that, but folks swear by it.
- And then there’s this talk about “ancient spiritual practices.” Sounds like somethin’ them old-timers used to do. You know, like burnin’ sage and chantin’ and such. I reckon this deck has somethin’ to do with that too.
Now, I heard this lady, Theresa Reed, they call her “The Tarot Lady,” she talks about these cards bein’ sad sometimes. She says there’s one card, the “Five of Cups,” that’s the saddest card in the whole deck. Makes you think, don’t it? Even in these fancy decks, there’s sadness. Just like life, I guess.
But it ain’t all doom and gloom, no sirree. They say this Apokalypsis deck is about “truth and light.” So maybe it can help you find your way when you’re lost, or give you hope when you’re feelin’ down. I ain’t sayin’ it’s magic, but maybe, just maybe, it can help you see things a little clearer.
So, what do I think about this Apokalypsis Tarot Deck? Well, I reckon it’s like anythin’ else in this world. It is what you make of it. If you want to believe it can tell the future, go ahead. If you want to use it to think about your life, that’s fine too. And if you just want to look at the pretty pictures, well, there ain’t nothin’ wrong with that neither. Just remember, it’s just a deck of cards, ain’t nothin’ to be scared of. But maybe, just maybe, it can open your eyes to somethin’ you didn’t see before.
I heard tell that some of the oldest tarot cards are real old, from back in the 1400s, made for some rich folks in Italy. And then there’s this other kind, the Tarot of Marseilles, that was popular in France a long time ago. But this Apokalypsis deck, it’s new, made with all that fancy computer stuff. Still, they all seem to be tryin’ to tell us somethin’ about ourselves and the world around us, even if I don’t always understand how.
So, there you have it. My two cents on this here Apokalypsis Tarot Deck. Take it with a grain of salt, like I always say. And remember, the most important thing is to trust your own gut. Them cards can point the way, but it’s up to you to walk the path.
