Alright, let’s talk about this “Deep Astronomy and the Romantic Sciences” thing. I ain’t no fancy scholar, mind you, just a plain ol’ person tryin’ to make sense of it all.
So, from what I gather, it’s some kind of movie or show, made by a fella named Cory McAbee. He and some other folks spent a whole heap of time puttin’ it together, hours and hours they say. Must’ve been important to them.
Now, this movie, it’s got a story about a young fella and a robot. Yeah, you heard that right, a robot! This young fella, he’s tryin’ to be all clever and funny with his friends, starts talkin’ to this robot sittin’ in a bar. Like, who does that? But I guess that’s how the story gets goin’.
This robot, she ain’t just any robot, though. They call her Grace, and she’s supposed to be like, a know-it-all about bein’ human. Apparently, they built her by lookin’ at all that internet stuff, all them social medias and messages folks send. Sounds like a whole lotta jibber-jabber to me, but that’s what they did. Her main job is to show what bein’ human is all about, based on what she learned from the internet. Imagine that!
- So, the young fella, Rudy, he starts talkin’ to Grace
- And Grace, she starts talkin’ about “Romantic Sciences.”
Now, don’t ask me what “Romantic Sciences” are exactly. Sounds fancy, right? Grace, she’s supposed to be an expert on it, so I guess it’s somethin’ important. Maybe it’s about old-timey scientists and their love stories? Or maybe it’s about how science used to be back in the day. I ain’t sure, but it seems like this is a big part of the movie.
The movie, it’s called “Deep Astronomy and the Romantic Sciences.” So, there’s astronomy in there too, which is all about stars and planets and such. Maybe they’re tryin’ to connect the stars to these “Romantic Sciences” somehow. Maybe they’re sayin’ that lookin’ up at the sky makes you think about love and all that mushy stuff. Or maybe it’s somethin’ else entirely. Like I said, I’m just a simple person tryin’ to figure it out.
It seems like the movie is tryin’ to mix together some pretty different things: robots, old-timey science, and the stars. That Cory fella, he must be a clever one to come up with somethin’ like that. Or maybe he’s just a little bit crazy, who knows? But hey, sometimes crazy is good, right? Keeps things interestin’.
I saw somewhere that folks are writin’ reviews about this movie. So, I guess it’s out there for people to watch. Maybe I’ll give it a try someday, if I can figure out how to work that new-fangled TV remote. But for now, I’m just gonna stick to what I know: plantin’ my garden, feedin’ the chickens, and tryin’ to keep my feet on the ground. This talk of robots and romantic sciences, it’s a bit much for an old gal like me.
But I tell you what, it does make you think, don’t it? About how much the world has changed, and how much we still don’t know. Maybe that’s what this movie is all about. Maybe it’s tryin’ to remind us to look up at the stars and wonder, and to remember that even robots can teach us a thing or two about bein’ human. Or maybe it’s just a bunch of hooey. Like I said, I ain’t no expert.
Anyways, that’s my two cents on this “Deep Astronomy and the Romantic Sciences.” If you wanna know more, you can probably find it online somewhere. They got websites and all that nowadays. Just search for Cory McAbee or the movie title, and you’ll probably find a whole bunch of stuff. But don’t blame me if you get lost in all that internet mumbo jumbo. It’s enough to make your head spin.
