Alright, let’s talk about them angel thingies, the ones you stick on top of your Christmas tree, ya know, the shiny ones that light up. My grandkids, they love that stuff. Always yellin’, “Grandma, Grandma, plug it in!” Kids these days, always wantin’ somethin’ flashy.
First off, where do ya even get these things? Well, seems like everywhere you look now. I hear tell there’s this place called eBay, sounds fancy, huh? They say you can find pretty much anythin’ there, even them light-up angels. Lots of folks sellin’ stuff, used and new, so you gotta be careful, mind you. Don’t want no junk, gotta get somethin’ that works, somethin’ pretty.
Then there’s this other place, Temu, I think they call it. My neighbor, Agnes, she’s always buyin’ stuff from there. Says they got good prices, lots of those Christmas angel thingies, cheap too. I ain’t too sure about buyin’ from these newfangled places, but Agnes, she seems to like it. Said she got a whole bunch of them glowin’ angels last year, all different colors.
- Red ones
- Blue ones
- Even one that changes colors, fancy that!
Now, some of them angels, they ain’t just plain light-up, no sir. Some got timers, imagine that! You can set ‘em to turn on and off by themselves, save you some electricity, I guess. Heard they run on batteries, too. No more messin’ with them dang cords, always gettin’ tangled up with the Christmas lights.
Agnes showed me one she got, had like, fifteen little lights, all blinkin’ and shinin’. Said it had a timer, run for six hours, then off for eighteen. Pretty clever, I gotta say. Saves you the trouble of havin’ to remember to turn it off at night, which is good, ‘cause I always forget, too busy watchin’ my stories.
Then there’s this place called Etsy. Sounds even fancier than eBay. They say it’s got all sorts of handmade stuff, one-of-a-kind things. Probably expensive, though. But if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ special, somethin’ nobody else has, that might be the place to go. My niece, she got one of them handmade angels last year. It was real pretty, had all sorts of little details, looked like an actual angel, almost. Cost her a pretty penny, though, I tell ya.
And if you’re one of them do-it-yourself types, you can probably find parts to make your own light up angel. There are places that sell all sorts of bits and bobs, wires, lights, all that jazz. But that sounds like a whole lotta work to me. I’d rather just buy one, ready-made, stick it on the tree, and be done with it. Ain’t got the patience for all that fiddlin’ around.
So, there ya have it, a whole bunch of places where you can get them light-up angel tree toppers. eBay, Temu, Etsy, or even them hardware stores, if you’re feelin’ crafty. Just make sure you get one that works, one that’s pretty, and one that makes them grandkids happy. That’s all that matters, ain’t it? Seein’ their faces light up, almost as bright as them angels.
One more thing, don’t be fooled by them fancy words and prices. Sometimes, the simplest ones are the best. Just get what ya like and what fits yer budget. A light-up angel is a light-up angel, no matter how much it costs or where ya bought it. And remember to check if it needs batteries, ain’t nothin’ worse than gettin’ it all set up on the tree, and then findin’ out it don’t light up ‘cause you forgot the batteries. Happened to me last year, had to send my grandson Billy to the store, in the snow, poor kid.
Anyways, happy Christmas, and may your angel shine bright!
