Well, let me tell ya, this whole star business, this astrology stuff, it’s somethin’ else. Folks always talkin’ ’bout it, readin’ about it. And you know what? Some of it, it kinda makes ya think. It’s like they say, them stars and planets, they got somethin’ to do with how we act, how we are.
I ain’t no fancy scholar, mind you. But I seen things. I heard things. People born under this sign, they act this way. People born under that sign, they act that way. Like them Gemini folks. They say them folks, they stick around bad people, even when they know better. Lord knows why. Maybe they just like the drama, like a hen pecking at a shiny button, even if it ain’t good for ’em.
- And them Aries, they got fire in ’em, they do. But some of ’em, they got that earth mixed in, makes ’em stubborn as a mule stuck in mud.
- Then you got them Sagittarius. Always lookin’ for somethin’, never satisfied. Like a restless wind, blowin’ this way and that.
They say these star charts, these, uh, natal charts, they call ’em, they show you everything. How you work, how you spend money, how you look at yourself, how you treat your family. Like lookin’ in a mirror, only the mirror’s made of stars and planets. Kinda spooky, ain’t it?
I heard tell of folks with Mercury and Mars mixed up in their stars. Sharp tongues, they got. Like a whip, they are. They’ll cut you down to size faster than a hawk snatchin’ a field mouse. You gotta watch out for them, I tell ya.
And this whole thing about order, or no order. Some folks like things neat and tidy, everything in its place. Others, they don’t care so much. They make their own way, believe what they wanna believe. It’s like plantin’ a garden. Some folks plant in rows, nice and neat. Others, they just throw seeds everywhere and see what grows. Both ways work, I guess, just depends on the person.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ I understand it all. This talk about celestial movements and earthly happenings, it’s a bit much for an old woman like me. But I see it in the people around me. I see it in the way they act, the way they think. And it makes me wonder. Makes me think there’s somethin’ to it, this astrology stuff.
Some say it’s just made-up stories, that it ain’t real. They call it pseudoscience, whatever that means. Big words for somethin’ they don’t understand, I reckon. Them psychologists, they don’t believe in it. They want proof, they say. Well, sometimes you don’t need proof, you just need your eyes and ears. You just need to pay attention.
It’s like the weather. You don’t need a weatherman to tell you it’s gonna rain when you see them dark clouds gatherin’. You just know. And maybe it’s the same with astrology. Maybe you don’t need a fancy degree to see the signs, to understand how them stars are workin’ on us. It’s about seeing connections, seeing how things fit together. It’s about finding your own meaning, your own path. That’s what matters, ain’t it?
So, you can believe it or not, that’s your business. But me, I’ll keep watchin’ them stars, keep listenin’ to the stories. ‘Cause maybe, just maybe, them stars got somethin’ to tell us. Maybe they got a secret or two they wanna share. And I, for one, I’m willin’ to listen.
This whole thing, it’s just observations, you know? Like watchin’ the chickens in the yard, seein’ which ones are bossy, which ones are shy. You learn a lot just by watchin’. And maybe that’s all astrology is, really. Just watchin’ and learnin’. And tryin’ to make sense of it all.
