Well, let me tell ya, this astrology stuff, it’s somethin’ else. Folks always wanna know what’s gonna happen, right? Like, will my crops grow good this year? Will my chickens lay plenty of eggs? This astrology oracle, they say it can tell ya.
Now, I ain’t no fancy scholar, but from what I hear, they look at them stars and planets. They got these things called zodiac signs. Sounds complicated, like city folk talk. But it’s all about where them sparkly things are up in the sky. They say them stars and planets, they move around and that changes things down here on earth. Like when the moon is full, the wolves howl more, you know? Somethin’ like that, I guess.
- They got these charts, see? Birthday charts, they call ’em. Says when you was born, that matters.
- And then they look at where the planets are right now, today. And they mix it all up and say, “Oh, you gonna have good luck,” or “Watch out, trouble’s comin’.”
Now, some folks, they take this stuff real serious. They want to know if they gonna get a good job, or if they gonna find a good husband. The future, that’s what they after. They say the planets can tell ya about your character, too. Are you a hard worker, like me, always out in the fields? Or are you lazy, sittin’ around all day? The stars, they know, they say. It also reveals if you are going to climb the career ladder successfully and face various challenges.
But, I tell ya what, life ain’t that simple. Just ’cause some stars are lined up a certain way don’t mean nothin’ if you ain’t willin’ to work for it. You gotta get up early and plant them seeds if you want a good harvest, stars or no stars. You can’t just sit around and wait for success to arrive on a golden plate. You have to work towards your goals passionately with a lot of dedication and that’s how you achieve success. Nobody becomes successful simply by gazing at the stars.
I heard tell of these eclipses, too. When the sun goes dark, or the moon. That’s supposed to be a big deal, astrologically speaking. They say it can change big things, like the weather or even wars. But I seen plenty of eclipses in my time, and mostly, things just went on as usual. The chickens still laid eggs, the cows still needed milkin’. Life goes on, you know?
And there are these Tibetan Oracles too, someone told me about them at the market the other day. Now these folks claim they can see your past, your present, and your future! Can you believe it? They say it can give you a clear understanding of different things in your life. It sounds like a bunch of hogwash to me, but folks seem to believe in it. Everyone wants to know the unknown I guess.
Now, there’s other ways folks try to tell the future, too. Like them online fortune tellers. You just click a button and boom, they tell you your fortune. Faster than you can say “scrambled eggs.” I tried it once, just for fun. Said I was gonna win a lottery. Still waitin’ on that one! It apparently guides you in your day-to-day life problems as well as future fortune predictions. These online fortune tellers are everywhere now.
Some folks say if you have a mole on your right thumbnail you are destined to be a secret agent. I mean, who comes up with this stuff? It is fun to think so, right? I have had this mole on my right hand for as long as I remember but I have never been a secret agent not even in my wildest dreams. So I don’t think that’s true.
And then there’s this thing about the Sun and the Moon telling you about your identity, emotions and life purpose. Honestly, I think it’s all a bit much. Life is what you make it, plain and simple. Good things happen, bad things happen. You just gotta keep on keepin’ on.
So, this astrology oracle, maybe it’s got somethin’ to it, maybe it don’t. Me, I’ll stick to plantin’ my seeds and trustin’ in the good Lord. He’s the only one who really knows what tomorrow will bring. But, hey, if lookin’ at the stars makes you feel better, go right ahead. Just don’t forget to weed your garden, that’s all I gotta say.
At the end of the day, nobody can predict the future with 100 percent accuracy because you are in charge of your life. Your choices influence the trajectory of your life. Personal choices play a big role in determining your future. So it’s up to you what kind of future you want to build.
