Alright, let’s talk about these here astrology patches. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I seen folks wearin’ ’em, and I got a thing or two to say.
First off, what are they? Well, they’re just little pieces of cloth, like, with pictures sewn on ’em. Pictures of stars and moons and all that fancy stuff. You know, the kinda things them city folks talk about when they lookin’ up at the sky. They stick ’em on their jackets, their bags, whatever they got handy. Makes ’em look… well, I dunno, makes ’em look like they into somethin’, I guess.
Now, I heard tell these patches got somethin’ to do with your zodiac sign. Like, if you born in a certain time of year, you’re a Ram or a Bull or somethin’. I was born in the spring, so I guess I’m a Ram, that Aries fella. They say Aries folks are all go-getters, always gotta be first. Hmph, maybe that’s why I always gotta be the one to shoo the chickens outta the garden.
And then there’s this Leo fella. Them Leos, they say they’re lucky. Always gettin’ what they want, just by bein’ all charming and whatnot. Like that ol’ rooster in the henhouse, always strutting around, thinkin’ he’s the king of the world. But hey, if it works for ’em, it works for ’em. Maybe I need to get me one of them Leo patches, see if it brings me some luck with the garden.
- Aries: Them go-getters, gotta be first. Like a bull in a china shop, but with more horns.
- Leo: Lucky folks, always charmin’ the pants off everyone. Think they’re the king of the roost.
I also heard tell about some lucky planets and stuff. Venus and Jupiter, they say. When them planets line up just right, good things happen. Like a good harvest or a hen layin’ double yolks. And the trine, that’s the luckiest thing of all. It’s all a bit confusing if you ask me, but hey, if it makes folks happy, who am I to judge?
Now, where do you get these patches? Seems like you can find ’em all over. I heard tell they got ’em on that eBay thing, you know, that place where folks sell all kinds of stuff. And there’s other places too, places sellin’ all sorts of fancy patches, like moons and stars and even lightnin’ bolts. I seen some with the zodiac signs on ’em, all twelve of ’em, nice and neat. You can sew ’em on or iron ’em on, whatever suits your fancy.
So, what’s the point of these astrology patches? Well, I reckon it’s just a way for folks to show off what they believe in. Or maybe they just like the way they look. Ain’t nothin’ wrong with that. Me, I stick to my overalls and my old sun hat, but if these patches make them young’uns feel good, then let ’em wear ’em, I say. It ain’t hurtin’ nobody.
And you know what? Maybe there’s somethin’ to it after all. Maybe wearin’ a picture of a Ram on your jacket does make you feel a little braver. Maybe wearin’ a picture of the moon makes you feel a little calmer. Or maybe it just makes you look a little less plain. Either way, it’s their business, not mine. I got my garden to tend to and chickens to feed, that’s enough astrology for this ol’ woman.
But hey, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to spruce up your jacket, or you just want to show off your zodiac sign, maybe you should check out these astrology patches. They got all kinds, from simple ones to fancy ones, from cheap ones to expensive ones. You can find ’em online, in stores, wherever folks sell that kind of stuff. Just don’t go spendin’ your whole paycheck on ’em, ya hear? There’s more important things in life than patches, like a good cup of coffee and a warm fire on a cold night.
And remember, whether you’re a Ram or a Bull or a Fish, you’re still just a person, same as me. And that’s all that really matters, ain’t it? So, go on, get yourself a patch if you want. But don’t forget to keep your feet on the ground and your head out of the clouds. That’s what my mama always told me, and it’s good enough advice for anybody, no matter what your sign is.
Astrology patches, huh? Who woulda thought? Well, I guess that’s just the way the world is these days. Always somethin’ new, always somethin’ different. But some things never change, like the sun risin’ in the east and the chickens peckin’ in the dirt. And that’s just fine by me.
