Alright, so you wanna know about them astrology reading cards, huh? Well, let me tell ya, it ain’t rocket science, but it ain’t exactly pickin’ beans neither.
First off, what are these cards anyway? Some folks call ’em tarot cards, some call ’em fortune tellin’ cards. I just call ’em picture cards, ’cause that’s what they are – pictures on a piece of cardboard. But these ain’t just any pictures, mind you. They got symbols and stuff, and each one means somethin’ different. There’s a whole bunch of ’em, like a big ol’ deck of playin’ cards, but fancier.
Now, some of these cards are real important, they call ’em the Major Arcana. Think of ’em like the big bosses of the deck. They talk about big life stuff, you know, like love, death, and all that in-between. Then you got the Minor Arcana, those are more about everyday things, like your job, your money, or that pesky neighbor’s dog barkin’ all night. They got suits too, like cups, swords, sticks and coins but they ain’t for playin’ poker.
- Cups: That’s all about feelings and relationships, you know, lovey-dovey stuff.
- Swords: These are about thinkin’ and fightin’. Sometimes you gotta use your head, sometimes you gotta stand up for yourself.
- Sticks(Wands): That’s for gettin’ things done, work and gettin’ fired up and all that.
- Coins (Pentacles): This is about money, stuff you own, and keepin’ your feet on the ground.
So how do you read these things? Well, that’s where it gets a little tricky. You gotta shuffle ’em up real good, think about what you wanna know, and then pick some cards. How many you pick depends on what you’re lookin’ for. Sometimes just one card is enough, sometimes you need a whole bunch. They call that a “spread”, like spreadin’ out a tablecloth. I seen some fancy folks lay out a whole mess of cards.
Then you gotta look at the pictures and figure out what they mean. That’s where the intuition comes in. You gotta listen to your gut, that little voice inside your head. It ain’t always easy, but the more you practice, the better you get. And don’t be afraid to look things up in a book neither. Nobody knows everything, not even them city slickers with all their fancy learnin’.
Some folks say you gotta be psychic to read these cards, but I don’t buy it. I think anybody can do it if they put their mind to it. Just gotta be open-minded and willing to learn. And remember, the cards ain’t gonna tell you exactly what’s gonna happen. They just give you some hints, some ideas to think about. It’s up to you to make your own decisions, to choose your own path.
Now some smarty pants like to mix these cards with that astrology stuff. You know, stars and planets and all that. They say it helps you get a better picture, a bigger idea of what’s goin’ on. I don’t know much about that astrology stuff myself, but I reckon it can’t hurt. Anything that helps you understand yourself and the world around you is alright by me. If the stars and the cards can give you a little bit of guidance, a little bit of hope, then I say go for it. Life’s hard enough as it is.
So, if you’re thinkin’ about givin’ these astrology reading cards a try, I say go ahead. Just remember to keep an open mind, trust your gut, and don’t take it all too seriously. It ain’t the end of the world if you don’t get it right away. Just keep practicin’ and you’ll figure it out eventually. And who knows, maybe you’ll even surprise yourself with what you learn. It’s all about looking at the pictures and listenin’ to your heart. At least that’s how this ol’ woman sees it.
