Well, so, you wanna do good on that AP Psychology thing, huh? Listen up, I’m gonna tell ya what I know, even if I don’t know nothin’ ‘bout this fancy psychology stuff. But folks been talkin’, and I got ears, ya know?
First thing’s first, they say you gotta get yourself some good books. Good books, mind you, not just any old thing. I hear tell there’s this fella named Myers, David Myers, wrote a book called “Psychology”. They say it’s good. Then there’s these other books, “AP Psychology” by Princeton Review or Barron’s. Sounds highfalutin, but folks swear by ‘em.
And if them big books are too much, they got these smaller ones, like cheat sheets, but they call ‘em prep books. There’s one called “Barron’s AP Psychology” by some doctors, Allyson Weseley and Robert McEntarffer. Lotsa letters after their names, must be smart folks. Another one is “5 Steps to a 5: AP Psychology” by Laura Maitland. These books, they got practice tests and stuff, help ya get ready for the big day.
Now, you can’t just read, no sir. You gotta test yourself. Like bakin’ a cake, ya gotta taste it to see if it’s good. So, they got these things called flashcards. You write the question on one side, the answer on the other. Flip ‘em, test yourself. Simple as pie. And speaking of tests, Barron’s, they say that book’s got a whole heap of practice tests. The more the merrier, I say. Practice makes perfect, just like churnin’ butter.
- Books: Look for Myers, Princeton Review, Barron’s.
- Prep Books: Barron’s, 5 Steps to a 5.
- Flashcards: Make ‘em, use ‘em, learn ‘em.
- Practice Tests: Barron’s got lots, do ‘em all!
And then there’s this thing called Quizlet. It’s on that computer thingy, the internet. You just type in “AP Psychology Quizlet” on Google, and bam! Lots of stuff pops up. They say it’s good for studyin’. Don’t ask me how it works, I ain’t no spring chicken, but the young’uns seem to like it. So it must be good, right?
Oh, and one more thing! They say you gotta watch these videos, Crash Course they call ‘em. There’s a whole bunch on psychology. It’s like watchin’ a show, but you’re learnin’ at the same time. They say it gives ya a good idea of what’s what before you dive into the books. It’s like lookin’ at the picture on the seed packet before you plant the garden.
Now, don’t go thinkin’ you can do all this in one day. You gotta spread it out. A couple hours each day, they say. Focus on one thing at a time. Don’t be jumpin’ around like a flea on a hot skillet. Take your time, learn it good, and you’ll do just fine. It’s like milkin’ a cow, slow and steady wins the race.
And don’t forget to get yourself a good study place. Somewhere quiet, where you won’t be bothered by the kids or the chickens or the TV blarin’. You need a place where you can think, where you can concentrate. Just you and them books and flashcards. Maybe with a cup of coffee, if that’s your thing. It’s like findin’ a good spot to plant your tomatoes, gotta have the right conditions, ya know?
So there you have it. That’s all I know ‘bout this AP Psychology stuff. Books, flashcards, practice tests, videos, Quizlet, and a quiet place. And don’t forget to put in the time. It ain’t gonna learn itself, you gotta put in the work. Now go on, get to studyin’!
