Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this here “career astrology reading,” or whatever them city folks call it. You know, figuring out what kinda work you’re good at. It ain’t rocket science, but some folks swear by it.
What in the world is career astrology anyway?
From what I gather, it’s all about lookin’ at the stars and planets and whatnot to see what kind of job you’d be good at. Like, if you was born when the moon was full, maybe you’re supposed to be a night watchman or somethin’. I don’t rightly know. Seems like a lot of hocus pocus to me, but hey, to each their own.
- They say them stars can tell ya if you’re good at leadin’ folks, like a boss man.
- Or maybe you’re better off workin’ with your hands, like a carpenter or a farmer, you know, real work.
- And some folks, they say the stars can even tell ya how much money you’re gonna make. Now that’d be somethin’ to know, wouldn’t it?
How do they do this star-reading stuff?
Now, this is where it gets real complicated. They got these charts, see? And they look at where all the planets were when you was born. They call it a “birth chart.” Sounds fancy, huh? They say that chart tells ’em all about you – what you’re good at, what you ain’t good at, and what kind of job you should be doin’.
They talk about houses and signs and all sorts of things I don’t understand. Somethin’ about a “tenth house” bein’ important for your career. Beats me. Sounds like a bunch of mumbo jumbo if you ask me, but some folks put a lot of stock in it. They say your personality and interests, that’s your first house, gotta see how it connects to this tenth house thing.
Can this star stuff really help you find a job?
Well, some folks say it can. They say it can help you figure out what you’re good at and what kind of job would make you happy. They even have things they call “career reports,” readin’ your birth chart to match you up with jobs. They say, unlock your career potential with this star business. And it’s not just stars, some folks use cards too, like them tarot cards, to talk to the universe about your job. Like havin’ a little chat with God about what you should be doin’ for a livin’.
They say if you’re always feelin’ like a fish outta water at work, maybe your job ain’t right for your stars. Maybe you’re supposed to be doin’ somethin’ different. Like, if you’re stuck in an office all day but your stars say you should be out in the fields, well, that might explain why you’re so miserable. They say, astrology can guide you, like pointin’ you in the right direction, giving you some choices.
Is it all set in stone?
Now, I don’t think nothin’s set in stone, ‘cept maybe the Ten Commandments. Even if them stars say you’re supposed to be a doctor, that don’t mean you can just sit on your behind and wait for it to happen. You still gotta work hard and learn stuff. And even if the stars say you’re supposed to be a ditch digger, well, there ain’t no shame in honest work.
What do I think?
Well, I’ve lived a long time, and I’ve seen a lot of things. And I reckon the best way to find a good job is to figure out what you like to do and what you’re good at, and then go out there and do it. Don’t matter what the stars say, hard work and a good attitude will take you a long way.
But hey, if you wanna spend your hard-earned money on a “career astrology reading,” that’s your business. Just don’t come cryin’ to me if it don’t work out. And don’t go blamin’ the stars for your problems neither. You’re the one in charge of your own life, not some planets millions of miles away. They even say a few minutes difference in when you was born can change things, so who knows how much of it is real?
So, if you’re lookin’ for your perfect job, maybe give this astrology stuff a try. Or maybe just go out there and try a bunch of different things until you find somethin’ you like. That’s what I did, and it worked out alright for me. But remember, a birth chart ain’t gonna get you a job, gotta find yourself a professional astrologer for that kind of help, they say. And whatever you choose to do, do it with all your heart and don’t let nobody tell you you can’t do it. That’s the real secret to success, far as I can tell.
Anyways, that’s just my two cents on this whole “career astrology reading” thing. Take it or leave it, it don’t make no difference to me. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go tend to my chickens.
