Oh, honey, you won’t believe this newfangled thing I heard about. It’s called a color astrology book. Sounds kinda silly, don’t it? But they say it’s all about the colors and your birthday. Yeah, like them horoscopes, but with colors. Crazy, right? My friend’s son got me one, the color astrology book, he always did like weird stuff.
So, this color astrology book, they say it tells you all about yourself, just from what day you was born. And the color! Like, my birthday is in March, and they say my color is some kinda light blue. They call it “aqua” in that fancy book. It’s supposed to mean I’m, uh, what was it… “sensitive” and “dreamy.” Well, I do like a good nap, I’ll give ’em that. But sensitive? I raised five kids, honey, you gotta be tough as nails!
But then, you know, I started thinkin’. Maybe there’s somethin’ to it, this color astrology book. My granddaughter, she’s born in, oh, I think it’s October. And her color is this bright pink in the color astrology book. And you know what? That girl is full of beans! Always runnin’ around, makin’ a fuss. Just like that bright pink, she is. Maybe them colors do mean somethin’ after all.

Like, they got these fancy names for all the colors. Not just “red” and “blue,” but “scarlet” and “cerulean.” Makes it sound all important, don’t it?
And it ain’t just about your birthday month, neither. They got somethin’ called “numerology” mixed in there, too, in the color astrology book. That’s somethin’ to do with numbers, I reckon. Like, addin’ up the numbers in your birthday or somethin’. I don’t really get it, to be honest. But they say it all works together, the colors and the numbers, to tell you about yourself.
My neighbor, she got one of these color astrology books, too. She’s born in, let me see, I think it’s December. And her color is this dark purple. They call it “indigo” in the book. Says she’s “wise” and “intuitive.” Well, she is pretty good at guessin’ when it’s gonna rain. Maybe she’s got a sixth sense or somethin’.
I don’t know, maybe this whole color astrology thing is just a bunch of hooey. But it’s kinda fun to think about, ain’t it? Like, what if the color of your birthday really does say somethin’ about you? What if my light blue really does mean I’m “dreamy”? Maybe I should take up paintin’ or somethin’.
So if you’re lookin for something to read that is about colors and numbers, a color astrology book might be good. I know my grandson spent all day reading his, and he doesn’t read much!
Anyways, I think it’s kinda fun to look up your birthday and your friends’ birthdays in the color astrology book. And the book, it’s got all these pretty pictures of the colors, too. Kinda like a rainbow threw up in there, if a rainbow was organized. It is a pretty book, this color astrology book, that’s for sure. I might try to find a color astrology book that is not so fancy and hard to understand. Maybe there’s a simple color astrology book out there somewhere.
It’s all a bit silly, this whole color astrology book thing. But you know what? Life’s too short to be serious all the time. Maybe we all need a little bit of color in our lives, even if it is just from some silly book. And who knows, maybe there’s more to this universe than we think. Maybe them colors really do hold some kind of magic. Or maybe it’s just a way to sell more books. Either way, it’s somethin’ to think about, ain’t it?
