This deck, Forest of Enchantment Tarot, it’s somethin’ else. I seen a lot of cards in my time, but these, they got pictures on ’em like you wouldn’t believe. Like a storybook, ‘cept it’s cards. It’s good for Tarot Card Readings. Reminds me of them old stories my mama used to tell, ’bout witches and critters in the woods.
Now, I ain’t no fancy reader, mind you. Just a gal who’s seen a thing or two. But these Forest of Enchantment Tarot cards, they speak to me. Each one, it’s like a little window into somethin’ bigger. And you start layin’ ’em out, and it’s like they’re tellin’ you a whole darn tale. It’s good for Fortune-telling, I think.
They say a gal named Lunaea Weatherstone, she wrote the words for these cards. And another one, Meraylah Allwood, she drew the pictures. Musta taken ’em a good long while. They look like those old German fairy tales. My mama used to tell us those stories when the work in the field was done, and I can still recall them clearly. These cards just remind me of those good old days.
Now, some folks, they like them plain cards. You know, the ones with just the cups and the swords and all that. Them’s alright, I reckon. Rider-Waite, they called it. Them Rider Waite cards, they’re good for plain questions. Like, “Will I find a good husband?” or “Will the crops be good this year?” Stuff like that. They say more than a hundred million of them Rider decks are out there, all over the world. Can you imagine?
But these Forest of Enchantment Tarot cards, they’re for when you got somethin’ deeper on your mind. somethin’ in your heart, you know what i mean? When you want to know not what will happen, but why it’s happenin’.
I remember this one card, it had a picture of a woman, all dressed in green, standin’ in a forest. And the trees around her, they was all twisty and turny, like they was alive. And she was holdin’ a little bird, real gentle-like. That card, it just made me think ’bout how we’re all connected, you know? To the earth and the animals and each other.
- First time I saw it, I just sat there starin’ at it for the longest time.
- It made me think about my own mama, and how she used to know all the plants in the woods.
- She could tell you which ones were good for healin’ and which ones were poison.
And then there’s another one, with a big ol’ bear, wearin’ a crown. Now, that one, it made me think ’bout my grandpa. He was a big man, strong as an ox. But he had a gentle heart, too. He used to tell me stories ’bout the old days, when he was a young man. This card just reminds me of him. I think it’s good to think about the past sometimes.
These cards, they ain’t just for tellin’ fortunes. They’re for thinkin’. For rememberin’. For understandin’. And you don’t need to go to some fancy school to use ’em. You just gotta listen to your heart. That’s what my mama always said. It’s a good Tarot Deck for everybody.
They say some folks use cards with a black star on ’em for the Fool card. Sounds silly to me. Why would you want a star on the Fool? The Fool’s the one who don’t know nothin’, right? He’s just startin’ out on his journey.
There are many cards in this Forest of Enchantment Tarot, just like there are many stories in our lives. If you want to know about your life, this is a good choice. It can tell you a lot of things. I think this deck is special. There’s also this Osho Zen cards, I heard people say it’s good for your spirit. You know, your soul and such. But I think this Forest of Enchantment Tarot is good for everything. I like these pictures better.
