Alright, today I wanna talk about something that’s been on my mind lately – brain project ideas in psychology. I mean, I’ve always been fascinated by how the human brain works, you know? So, I decided to dive into some experiments and see what I could learn. I think this will be fun!

First things first, I started reading up on some basic psychology stuff. I came across a few experiment ideas that seemed pretty doable. One that caught my eye was about sleep deprivation and how it affects driving. I thought, “Hey, I can do that!” I mean, I sometimes have hard time to fall asleep, and I also have the habit of driving, then I’m quite qualified to be the tester, right?
So, I set up my own little experiment. I decided to stay up for 24 hours straight and then see how well I could drive on a closed course. I made sure to control other variables, like not drinking any caffeine or alcohol. My wife was worried about my safety, so I asked her to sit beside me, and we were ready for the experiment.
The first few hours were fine, I was feeling pretty good. But as the night went on, I started feeling it. My eyelids were getting heavy, and I was having a hard time concentrating. It’s really tough, and I had to keep reminding myself that I can’t give up.
When it was time to drive, I felt like a zombie, and my wife felt nervous for me. But I still tried my best to drive safely. I got behind the wheel, and let me tell you, it was rough. My reaction time was way off, and I was swerving all over the place. It was scary, to be honest. And my wife kept reminding me to focus and calm down.

I managed to finish the course, but it wasn’t pretty. I knocked over a few cones and almost ran off the road a couple of times. Luckily, I didn’t hit anything or get injured.
After the experiment, I was exhausted, and I feel bad for my wife for being worried all day. But it also felt kind of rewarding. I learned firsthand just how much sleep deprivation can impair your ability to function. It’s no joke, folks. My experiment wasn’t the best, but it did teach me a few things.
I also tried another experiment, this one about conformity. Basically, I wanted to see if I could get people to go along with something even if they knew it was wrong. For example, people tend to agree with the majority, even when the majority is incorrect.
I gathered a group of friends and told them we were doing a vision test. I showed them a series of lines and asked them to say which one was the longest. The catch was, I had secretly instructed most of the group to give the wrong answer. It was interesting to see how the people who weren’t in on it reacted. Most of them went along with the group, even though they could clearly see that the answer was wrong.

I did the experiments, and I also observed some volunteers and collected data about my own senses. It was all pretty informal, but it was a lot of fun. It’s amazing how much you can learn about the human brain just by doing some simple experiments.
These brain project ideas were totally worth it for me. They sparked my curiosity and made me want to learn more about psychology. Plus, it was just plain fun to experiment and see what I could discover. And I hope my sharing can also make you interested in this topic!
I know these experiments aren’t perfect, but I’m not a professional researcher, I’m just a regular guy who’s interested in how the brain works. I’m just sharing my experiences and what I’ve learned along the way. Maybe it’ll inspire some of you to try your own experiments. Who knows what you might discover?
