Well, let me tell you somethin’ about this angel of music devil thing. I ain’t no scholar or nothin’, just a plain old woman, but I heard some things and seen some things, and I can put two and two together, you know?
Angels and devils, good and bad, it’s all mixed up, I tell ya. Like them city folks with their fancy words, they talk about this Lucifer fella, say he was a big shot angel, head of the music department up in heaven. Beautiful, they say. But then, somethin’ went wrong, real wrong. He got too big for his britches, I guess, and fell harder than a sack of potatoes. Now he’s the devil, the bad guy, the one causin’ all sorts of trouble.
They say he was the angel of music, but the Bible, it don’t exactly spell it out clear as day. It’s like lookin’ for a needle in a haystack, this information. You hear whispers and stories, but nothin’ solid. But one thing’s for sure, both the good angels and the bad ones, they can all sing and make music. Some of it’s pretty, some of it ain’t, just like folks, I reckon.
Now, there’s this other angel, Sandalphon, they call him. He’s the real deal angel of music, they say. Helps folks talk to God with music, like them gospel songs they sing in church. He’s a good one, not like that Lucifer fella. Sandalphon, he’s all about the good stuff, the light, the love. “Co-brother” they call him, means he’s like a brother to another big shot angel, Metatron. Sounds fancy, don’t it?
Then you got this Samael character. Ain’t much music with him, though. He’s more about the dark stuff, the death and all. Not a happy fella, that one. He’s the opposite of Sandalphon, I figure. Like night and day, them two. You know, it’s like that everywhere, even in my garden, you got the pretty flowers and then you got the weeds that choke ‘em out.
- Angels singin’, devils screamin’, it’s all a big ol’ noise sometimes.
- Lucifer, maybe he was the music man up there, maybe he wasn’t. Folks argue ’bout it all the time.
- Sandalphon, he’s the good angel, helpin’ folks with their prayers and such.
- Samael, he’s the scary one, the one you don’t wanna meet in a dark alley.
But that devil, he’s tricky. They say he can look like a good angel, an angel of light, even. That’s how he gets ya, sneakin’ in like a fox in the henhouse. He can get inside folks, make ’em do bad things. It’s like that old saying, “wolf in sheep’s clothing.” You gotta be careful, watch out for them smooth talkers, the ones who promise you the moon and stars but give you nothin’ but dirt.
So, angel of music devil? It’s a complicated mess, I tell ya. Maybe Lucifer was, maybe he wasn’t. But one thing I know for sure, there’s good and bad in everything, and you gotta choose which side you’re gonna stand on. Me, I’m stickin’ with the good, with the music that lifts you up, not the kind that drags you down. You listen to your heart, and you’ll know the difference.
And don’t you go lettin’ nobody tell you different. This world’s full of fancy talkers and big ideas, but the truth is simple. Do good, be good, and listen to the good music. That’s all there is to it, really.
So next time you hear a pretty song, or a scary one, you think about what I said. Think about the angels and the devils, and the choices they made. And you make your own choice, the right one. That’s all any of us can do.
