Well, howdy there, y’all! Let me tell ya a thing or two about this here… whatchamacallit… astrology goddess stuff. Don’t go thinkin’ I’m some fancy scholar or somethin’. I’m just a plain ol’ woman speakin’ my mind, ya hear?
Now, they say there’s these gods and goddesses up yonder, lookin’ down on us and messin’ with our lives. Sounds like a bunch of busybodies to me, but hey, what do I know? I heard tell of this fella named Ares, a real hothead, they say. Son of Zeus and Hera, big shots in the god world, I reckon. This Ares, he’s the god of war, always stirrin’ up trouble. Makes ya wonder if them gods ever just sat down for a nice cup of tea and a biscuit.
And then there’s this here Aries sign. Folks born under it, they say, are full of fire, always jumpin’ into things headfirst. Like a chicken with its head cut off, if ya ask me. They link this Aries sign to that war god, Ares, or sometimes they call him Mars. Confusin’, ain’t it? All these different names for the same fella. Makes my head spin.
But here’s the thing that gets me. They say each of them star signs got a god or goddess attached to it. Like this here goddess named Urania. Sounds fancy, right? They say she’s the goddess of the stars and all that sky stuff. Astronomy and astrology, they call it. Big words for lookin’ at the sky, if you ask me.
- Now, Urania, she’s all about the heavens, got a globe and compass in her hands, always measurin’ and figurin’. Smart gal, I guess. But I bet she never had to slop hogs or churn butter, that’s for sure.
- And then there’s this talk about Divine Feminine. Sounds like somethin’ my preacher would go on about, but they say it’s this energy inside us, all soft and kind, like a mama bear protectin’ her cubs. We all got it, they say, men and women alike. But I tell ya, some folks got it hid way down deep, you can hardly see it.
They say each of us is like one of them Archetypes, a fancy word for a pattern, I guess. Like a quilt, each piece different but part of the whole thing. Some folks are strong and bold, others are quiet and thoughtful. Just like in my chicken coop, some hens are bossy, others just peck around and lay their eggs.
So, what’s all this got to do with the astrology goddess? Well, I reckon it’s all connected, somehow. These gods and goddesses, these star signs, this Divine Feminine stuff… it’s all just different ways of lookin’ at the same thing: us folks down here on earth, tryin’ to make sense of it all.
Me? I just look at the sky and thank the good Lord for the sunshine and the rain. Don’t need no fancy charts or star maps to tell me when to plant my corn or when to butcher the hogs. But I ain’t sayin’ it’s all hogwash, neither. Maybe them gods and goddesses are up there, watchin’ over us, whisperin’ in our ears. Or maybe it’s just the wind.
Who knows? It’s a big ol’ world, full of mysteries. And that’s just fine by me. Keeps things interestin’, ya know? So, next time you look up at the stars, think about Urania and all them other gods and goddesses. Maybe they’ll give you a wink and a smile. Or maybe they’ll just keep on doin’ their god thing, and we’ll keep on doin’ ours.
And that’s all I got to say about that. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed them chickens.
