Well, let me tell ya ’bout this here astrology network thing. I ain’t no fancy scholar, ya know, just an old woman who’s seen a thing or two. But I hear folks talkin’ about stars and planets and how they mess with our lives. Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me sometimes, but then again, maybe there’s somethin’ to it.
I heard tell that these horoscopes, they come from astrology. That’s supposed to be about the stars and how they move around up there. Some folks say it can tell ya ’bout your day, your love life, even your money problems. Now, I don’t know about all that, but it’s interesting, ain’t it?
- They say them smarty-pants scientists, they don’t believe in it. Call it a “pseudoscience,” whatever that means. Sounds like big words to me.
- But then you got apps like that Co-Star thing. Uses NASA data, they say. Now, NASA, that’s the folks who send rockets to the moon, right? So maybe they know a thing or two about them stars.
- And it ain’t just a new thing, ya know. This star business has been around for ages. I heard tell of some fella named Bhrigu, way back in India. They call him the “Father of Hindu Astrology.” Sounds like a respectable fella. He wrote somethin’ called the Bhrigu Samhita. Must be important, seein’ as they still talk about it.
There’s all sorts of different kinds of astrology too. You got your regular horoscopes, then there’s somethin’ called tarot cards. I seen them at the fair once. Pretty pictures, but I ain’t got a clue what they mean. Then you got Chinese astrology, and somethin’ called Vedic, and Mayan, and even numerology and Feng Shui. Lands sakes, it’s enough to make your head spin!
Seems like there’s a whole network of folks who are into this astrology stuff. There’s this thing called *, gives ya horoscopes and all that. And then I heard tell of the Southern California Astrological Network. A whole bunch of folks gettin’ together to talk about stars. Must be somethin’ to it if that many people are interested.
And get this, there’s even somethin’ called The Astrology Network™. Sounds fancy, huh? It’s like a place where all these astrology folks, the professionals they call ’em, they put their stuff out there for everyone to see. So, if you’re lookin’ for answers in the stars, that might be a good place to start.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ I believe it all, but it’s kinda like plantin’ seeds, ya know? You plant ’em, you water ’em, and you see what grows. Maybe these astrology folks, they’ve planted somethin’ too. And maybe, just maybe, there’s somethin’ to it after all. It’s been around for a long, long time, so there must be somethin’ there keepin’ it goin’. Like an old oak tree, it keeps on growin’ and spreadin’ its branches. And who am I to say it ain’t true? I’m just an old woman, and I’ve learned that life is full of surprises.
So, there ya have it. That’s what I know about this astrology network thing. Not much, maybe, but enough to make ya think. And maybe that’s the whole point, ain’t it?
