Well, let me tell you somethin’ about them bed sheet colors. It ain’t just about what looks pretty, no sir. Them colors, they can mess with your head, make you feel all sorts of things. Make it hard to sleep, or easy to sleep. It is the bed sheet color psychology.
Now, I ain’t no fancy doctor or nothin’, but I’ve been sleepin’ for a long time, longer than most folks been alive! And I’ve seen a thing or two about how them sheets can make a difference. I like them colors that make you feel good, you know? Like when you’re lookin’ at a field of purdy flowers or the sky right before the sun goes down. Them’s the colors you want in the bedroom, the best bed sheet colors for sleep.
Some folks like them bright, flashy colors. Like that red, hot as a furnace! That ain’t no good for sleepin’. Red, it gets you all riled up, like you’re ready to go dance or somethin’. I ain’t dancin’ in my bed, and neither are you. If you want to dance, take it to the barn!
Then there’s that yella color, like the sun. Now, some folks say yella is cheery. And it can be, like a field of them sunflowers. Makes you feel all warm and cozy. But too much yella, and it’s like the sun beatin’ down on you in the middle of July. You ain’t gonna be sleepin’ then, you gonna be sweatin’. I prefer a little bit of warm yellow tones. Like I said, they invoke homey feelings. That’s important if you ask me. You want your bed to feel like home, a place where you feel secure.
And what about them blues and greens? Now those, those are sleepin’ colors. Blue like the evenin’ sky, green like the grass after a good rain. That is why bed sheet colors matter. Them colors calm you down, make you feel all peaceful. Like you’re floatin’ on a cloud or lyin’ in a field of clover. Now that is what I want for my bedroom, a place to rest, a place to relax.
- Blue like the sky
- Green like the grass
- That’s what I like
Some folks like them dark colors, like black or brown. I don’t know about that. Feels kinda like bein’ in a cave or somethin’. Not for me. I like a little light, even when I’m sleepin’. Just a little, mind you, like the moon shinin’ through the window. If you want a dark room, go sleep in the cellar!
Then you got your whites. Now white, that’s a clean color. Like fresh fallen snow. Makes you feel all pure and innocent. And it is a neutral color. But white, it can be a little borin’, don’t you think? Like a blank piece of paper. Might be good for some folks, but I like a little somethin’ more. Maybe some little flowers or somethin’ on there. White is associated with cleanliness and freshness. It is a good choice if you have a cluttered room. It makes things feel a little more open, less closed-in.
And what about that pink? Pink is a nice color. Reminds me of them roses that grow by the porch. Sweet and gentle. Good for a little girl’s room, maybe. Or for them who like things all frilly and fancy. To me, that soft pink, that is also a calming color. Just like blue and green. I think I would sleep good in a pink room.
I heard someone talkin’ about “beige” the other day. Now, what in the tarnation is beige? Sounds like a fancy word for, well, I don’t know what. But they say it’s a good color for sleepin’. Keeps you calm, they say. Maybe it’s like that there cream color, kinda like the color of that old cow Bessie used to have. She was a calm one, that Bessie. Maybe they’re on to somethin’ there with that beige.
Now purple, that is a color for special occasions. It is majestic. Like them fancy dresses folks wear to church. It has a peaceful feeling to it. I wouldn’t mind a touch of purple in my room, but not too much. It is a calming color, just like blue. Good for the bedroom, if you ask me. You can not go wrong with some purple, but do not go overboard. Maybe some purple flowers on a white sheet. Now that would be nice. I would like that.
So, you see, them colors, they ain’t just pretty. They can make you feel things. Happy, sad, excited, calm. And when it comes to sleepin’, you want them calm colors. Blues, greens, maybe a little pink or that beige thing. And not too bright, mind you. Just soft and gentle, like a summer breeze.
- Calm colors are good for sleep
- Blues and greens
- Soft, not too bright
And one more thing. Do not forget the thread count. I do not know exactly what that means, but I know it is important. Higher is better. I want my sheets to feel nice on my skin. You do not want to be sleeping on no sandpaper. That would not be good for sleep, no sir.
That’s all I gotta say about them bed sheet colors. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I’m gonna go take a nap. All this talk about sleepin’ has made me tired. But I am not gonna go sleep on red sheets, I will tell you that much right now!
