Alright, let’s talk about them…what do you call ’em? Astrology nails, yeah, that’s it. You know, the ones with all them fancy stars and signs and stuff on ’em. I seen some girls at the market with ’em, all shiny and colorful. Didn’t know what to make of it at first, but I guess it’s the new thing.
So, I heard tell there’s meanings behind all this. Like, Friday, they say, that’s a good day to cut your nails. Shukrawar, they call it in some places. Love and all that, they say. Me? I just cut ’em when they get too long, don’t matter what day it is. But these young folks, they got all sorts of rules, I tell ya.
- They say nails mean somethin’ ’bout your ego. Too long, too much ego. Gotta cut ’em down, keep yourself grounded. Sounds like somethin’ my old man used to say, only he was talkin’ ’bout weeds in the garden.
- And then there’s this Saturn fella. They say he’s in charge of the nails. And Ketu, whoever that is, he’s the one for cuttin’ and groomin’. Sounds like a whole lot of fuss to me, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

I don’t know, it’s all a bit confusing, to be honest.

Or if you got a lot of blues and greens, maybe you’re more calm and collected.
So, I guess there’s more to these astrology nails than meets the eye. It ain’t just about lookin’ pretty, it’s about connectin’ to somethin’ bigger than yourself. Or maybe it’s just a way to have a little fun, a little somethin’ different. Either way, I ain’t judgin’. If it makes you happy, that’s all that matters, right? Maybe I’ll even try gettin’ some myself. Just gotta find someone who can do them fancy designs without makin’ too much of a mess.
And you know, there’s all sorts of symbols they use, too. Little swirls and lines and dots. Each one means somethin’, I guess. You gotta know what you’re lookin’ at to understand it all. It’s like a whole different language, this astrology nail stuff. But it’s kinda interestin’, in a way. Makes you think about things you wouldn’t normally think about.
I also found out that some folks get their nails done according to their zodiac sign. Like, if you’re a Leo, maybe you get some gold and fiery colors. Or if you’re a Cancer, maybe you get some blues and silvers. It’s all about matchin’ your nails to your personality, I guess. Sounds kinda fun, actually. Like wearin’ your heart on your sleeve, but instead it’s on your fingertips.
