Okay, so let me tell you about this little adventure I had with Brakins Consulting & Psychological Services. I’ve been meaning to share this for a while, it’s been quite the experience.
It all started when I realized I needed to find some help. You know, life gets tough sometimes, and I figured it was time to talk to someone. So, I started looking around for mental health services in my area, which is how I stumbled upon Brakins.
Finding Brakins
First things first, I did some digging online. I found out that Brakins is a mental health clinic, and they’ve been around since February 14, 2019. Not exactly ancient history, but hey, they’ve been around for some time. Their main address, at least what I initially found was this place at 9600 Shelard Pkwy in Plymouth, MN. But then, I also saw another address, 2100 Plymouth Ave N, Suite #245 in Minneapolis. A bit confusing, but I figured I’d sort it out later.
Calling Them Up
Next, I decided to give them a call. I found a couple of numbers: (612) 302-3140 and (763) 522-0100. The first number seemed a little bit outdated, so I used the second one. The person who answered was pretty helpful and confirmed that they offer various services. They mentioned something about immediate openings for their outpatient treatment for addiction, which runs from 9 AM to noon. They also said they had openings for individual therapy for people aged 10 and up. Seemed like they had a lot going on.
Diving Deeper
I wanted to know a bit more, so I kept researching. I found out that the President of Brakins is someone named Garrett-Akinsanya. Apparently, she’s pretty involved and the place is all about “providing excellent” service. That sounded promising, right? I also learned that they are registered under Behavioral Health & Social Service Providers, specifically as psychologists. That made sense.
Looking at What They Offer
From what I gathered, mental health support is a big deal these days. I read that they have different levels of care, from community-led support all the way to intensive hospital care. It’s like a ladder of help, depending on what you need. It seems like in many places, primary care is where you start for mental health stuff, and they deal with things like depression or anxiety. Brakins seemed to fit into this system, offering various levels of support.
The Real Deal
I finally went ahead and reached out to them for an appointment. It was straightforward enough. The staff was friendly and I got the feeling that they knew what they were doing. The whole process was much easier than I thought it would be. It felt good to take that step and know that there are people and places out there ready to help.
So yeah, that’s my story about Brakins Consulting & Psychological Services. It wasn’t just about finding an address or a phone number, but about finding a place that could offer support when I needed it. It’s a reminder that it’s okay to seek help and that there are resources out there to help us through tough times.
