Well, I’ll be darned! You wanna make yer own tarrot cards? Sure, you can! Ain’t nobody sayin’ you can’t. Shoot, back in my day, we didn’t have all them fancy store-bought things. If we wanted somethin’, we just made it ourselves. And tarrot cards ain’t no different.
First off, you gotta figure out what you want them cards to look like. You know, the pictures and all that. Get creative, like them young folks say. You can draw stick figures if you want, or cut out pictures from magazines. Don’t matter much, long as you know what they mean.
- Think about the meanin’ of each card. You got yer Fool, yer Magician, and all them others. Each one’s gotta tell a story, see?
- Now, you gotta get yerself some paper. Not that flimsy stuff, mind you. Get somethin’ thick, like what them fancy business cards are made of. They call it cardstock, I think.
- Then, you gotta draw or paste them pictures onto the cards. Make ’em nice and purdy, or don’t. It’s up to you. Like I said, ain’t nobody tellin’ you how to do it.
I reckon you could even use them computer thingamajigs to make the pictures. Print ’em out, stick ’em on the cards. Easy peasy. These young folks, they always makin’ things so complicated. Back in my day, we just used what we had.
Now, some folks, they go all out. They paint and they draw, make them cards look like somethin’ outta a museum. But you don’t gotta do all that. Like I said, stick figures work just fine. It’s the meanin’ that matters, not how fancy it looks.
And listen here, don’t go frettin’ if they ain’t perfect. Perfect is for store-bought stuff. Homemade is about puttin’ yer heart into it. Personal connection, that’s what them smart folks call it. You make them cards, they become a part of you.
I remember my grandma, she used to make her own cards. She’d use old scraps of cloth and paper, anything she could find. And them cards, they were the best darn cards I ever seen. They told stories, they did. They knew things.
So yeah, you can make your own tarrot cards. Don’t let nobody tell you different. It ain’t hard. Just takes a little time and a little bit of elbow grease. And who knows, maybe you’ll make somethin’ special. Somethin’ that speaks to you. Somethin’ that helps you see things a little clearer.
And let me tell you somethin’ else. Reading them cards for yerself? That’s tricky business. Some folks say you shouldn’t do it. But I reckon sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Just be careful, is all. Don’t go lookin’ for answers you ain’t ready for.
But heck, if you wanna do it, go ahead. It’s yer life, ain’t it? And them cards, they’re just tools. They can help you, but they can’t tell you what to do. That’s up to you.
So there you have it. Go on now, make them cards. Have fun with it. And don’t worry about messin’ up. Like I always say, even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.
