Alright, so listen up, y’all. We gonna talk about some serious stuff today, somethin’ about stars and magic and that there Bible book. I ain’t no fancy preacher or nothin’, just a plain ol’ woman, but I heard some things and read some things, and I wanna share it with ya.
Now, some folks, they look up at the sky and think them stars can tell ‘em what’s gonna happen. They call it astrology. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like them stars got little mouths whisperin’ secrets. But the Bible, well, it says somethin’ different. I ain’t got no big words like them scholars, but I’ll tell ya what I understand.
There’s this book, Isaiah, in the Bible. And it says somethin’ like, all that star-gazin’ and predictin’, it ain’t gonna save ya. It says them folks who do that, they like stubble, and fire gonna burn ’em up. That’s some strong talk, ain’t it? Makes ya think twice ‘bout trustin’ them horoscopes in the newspaper.
- Isaiah 47:13-15, that’s where it’s at. Go read it yerself if ya don’t believe me. It basically says them astrologers, they can’t help ya. Only God can.
Then there’s this other thing, witchcraft. Now, that’s even more spooky. Some folks messin’ with spirits and spells and such. The Bible, it ain’t too happy ‘bout that neither. There’s a whole bunch of verses talkin’ ’bout it. One of ’em is in, uh, Lev… Lev… somethin’… Leviticus! Yeah, that’s it. Leviticus 19:31.
It says somethin’ like, don’t go lookin’ for them mediums or them folks who talk to the dead. Don’t mess with that stuff. It’s bad news. God don’t like it, not one bit. And there’s another place, Deuteronomy, I think. Yeah, Deuteronomy 18:10-11. It goes on and on about not doin’ all sorts of witchy stuff. Says it’s “detestable” to the Lord. That’s a strong word, detestable. Means God really, really hates it.
Lots of folks online are talkin’ about this. They sayin’ the Bible and astrology, they just don’t mix. If ya believin’ in God, ya can’t be believin’ in them stars tellin’ ya what to do. And witchcraft? Forget about it! That’s a big no-no.
Some people, they try to mix it all up. They say, oh, God made the stars, so it’s okay to read ’em. But that ain’t what the Bible says. The Bible says God made everything, but He don’t want us lookin’ to the stars or spirits for answers. He wants us lookin’ to Him.
I ain’t sayin’ I understand it all. It’s a lot to take in. But one thing’s for sure, the Bible is pretty clear ’bout not messin’ with astrology and witchcraft. It says them things ain’t from God. They from somewhere else, and it ain’t good.
So, what’s a body to do? Well, I reckon it’s simple. Read that Bible, pray to God, and trust in Him. Don’t go chasin’ after stars or spells. They might seem powerful, but they ain’t got nothin’ on God. He’s the one who made them stars, and He’s the one who can really help ya.
And let me tell ya somethin’ else. This ain’t just about follerin’ rules. It’s about havin’ peace in your heart. When you trustin’ in God, you ain’t gotta worry ’bout what the stars say or what some witch might do. You just gotta trust that God’s got your back.
Now, I ain’t no preacher, like I said. I’m just a woman tryin’ to make sense of things. But I read that Bible, and it speaks to me. It tells me what’s right and what’s wrong. And it tells me to stay away from astrology and witchcraft.
So, that’s my two cents. Take it or leave it. But I hope you’ll think about it. There’s a lot of confusion out there, a lot of folks tryin’ to sell ya somethin’. But the truth is in that Bible, plain and simple. And the Bible says that relying on stars or witchcraft is a bad idea and goes against God’s will.
Remember Deuteronomy 18:10-12 – it says, don’t be doin’ no divinatin’, no sorcery, no interpretin’ omens, no witchcraft, no castin’ spells. Anyone who does that stuff, well, God ain’t too happy with ’em. So, it’s best to steer clear. And that book, Deuteronomy 4:19, it also warns against worshipping the host of heaven, which some folks interpret as the stars and planets.
And there’s that new testament book too, Matthew 24:24 and 1 Corinthians 8:6 they also talk about false gods and prophets, it’s best to stick to what God says. And don’t forget Exodus 20:3, only God. You hear me?
So that’s it. I hope it makes sense. I’m just a simple woman but even I can see that trusting God is better than messing with stars or magic. It’s about faith, folks, plain and simple faith.
