Alright, so the other day, I decided to check out this whole psychology program at Clark University. I’ve been thinking about diving deeper into psychology, and I heard some good things about Clark, so I thought, why not?
I started by digging around on their website. They kept talking about how they want students who are all about community and making a difference, you know, the usual feel-good stuff. They also mentioned that their graduate programs are pretty well-known, which is cool. Then I got curious about the application process. It looks like you can apply through the Common App, which is what I did for my undergrad, so that’s not too bad.
But then I started thinking, what about the specifics of the psych program? What classes would I even take in my first year? And what if the intro courses are already full? I found out that you can send in a syllabus of a course you’ve taken somewhere else, and they might give you credit for it. That’s something to keep in mind, I guess.
As I kept digging, I stumbled upon some online forums where people were talking about their experiences. One person mentioned that their daughter was turned off by a sample psychology lesson during an admitted students day. That got me a bit worried. But then again, everyone’s different, right? I also saw some folks talking about the geography program, but that’s not really my thing.
Anyway, after all that, I’m still on the fence. Clark seems like a decent option, with its focus on community engagement and recognized programs. But I still have some questions about the actual psychology courses and how they’re structured. I mean, it’s a big decision to go back to school, so I want to make sure it’s the right fit.
So, I decided to reach out to a friend of a friend who went to Clark for their undergrad. Hoping to get some real, unfiltered insights. We’ll see what they have to say. But that’s where I’m at with this whole Clark University psychology thing. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster of information and opinions, but I’m trying to take it all in and see if it’s the right path for me.
