Okay, so I’ve been on this whole DIY kick lately, and I just had to share my latest project: tarot card iPhone cases! I’m a huge fan of tarot cards, and I love the aesthetic, so I thought, “Why not make my own phone case with them?”
I started by picking out some of my favorite cards. It was tough to choose, I gotta say! I ended up going with The Star, The Moon, and The Sun because, well, I just love the vibe of those three.
- Gathered my materials.
- Bought a clear iPhone case online—nothing fancy, just a basic one.
- Printed out the tarot card images.
- Cut the cards.
- Glued the images.
A Little Trouble
I initially tried to stick the cards directly onto the case, but they wouldn’t stay put. Total fail! So I scratched that idea and decided to use Mod Podge. If you don’t know what that is, it’s basically a glue, sealer, and finish all in one. Super handy stuff for crafting.
I carefully applied a thin layer of Mod Podge to the back of each tarot card image and then placed them on the inside of the clear case. I made sure to smooth out any air bubbles with my fingers. It was a bit messy, but kinda fun, like finger painting when you were a kid. I made a few cases for myself and some for my friends. Each one is unique, which is pretty cool. I’m no artist, but I’m really happy with how these turned out!
They’re definitely conversation starters. I’ve had a bunch of people ask me where I got my case, and they’re always surprised when I tell them I made it myself.
If you’re looking for a fun and easy DIY project, I highly recommend giving this a try. You can really let your creativity shine.
Just make sure you don’t rush the drying process, and you will be good to go.
Hope you guys like my DIY phone cases.
Peace out!
