So, the other day I decided to take a look at the psychological stuff at CSN. I went online and found their website, it was pretty easy to navigate.
First, I filled out the application. It was a bit of a hassle because they asked for a bunch of information, but I got it done. I made sure to get proof of my eligibility for VA benefits. Active duty and National Guardsmen don’t need to complete this application, thank goodness. After I had submitted the application, I waited for a few days. They’re open year-round for applications, which is pretty convenient.
Next, I checked out what they had on posttraumatic stress disorder. It’s wild, they mentioned that people with this condition have smaller volumes of something in their brains. I also stumbled upon some info about universal emotions. Apparently, there are seven of them, like anger and fear. It’s pretty basic stuff, but it got me thinking about how everyone shares these feelings.
- I obtained proof of eligibility for VA benefits.
- I completed the online application for CSN.
- I researched posttraumatic stress disorder.
- I learned about the seven universal emotions.
I also read that if you don’t complete at least 3 posts by Wednesday, you won’t get a grade. I made a mental note of that. It kind of reminded me of a time when my friend forgave her husband for something stupid he did. It’s all connected to psychology somehow, right?
Reflecting on the Process
This whole thing made me think about the Gibbs reflective cycle. It’s some guide about reflecting on your experiences. I figured, why not give it a try? I went through the steps, thinking about what I did, how I felt, and what I could do better next time. It’s a bit like that John Dewey guy’s ideas, but a little more structured.
Anyway, that’s how I spent my time exploring the psychology stuff at CSN. It wasn’t too complicated, and I learned a few things along the way. Maybe I’ll dig deeper into this another time, but for now, I’m just sharing my little adventure.
