First, I grabbed my phone (obviously, it’s on US Cellular) and started Googling. I typed in “US Cellular horoscope” and hit enter. Mostly, I found a bunch of forum posts and random articles. Nothing concrete, just people talking about it. Seemed like some kind of fun, unofficial game or something.
The basic idea, from what I could gather, is that you use some info from your phone or your US Cellular account to generate a personalized “horoscope.” It’s all pretty vague, and there’s no single way to do it. It’s more like a choose-your-own-adventure kind of thing. So I started to put the data together.
My Makeshift Method
I decided to make up my own method. Here’s what I did:
- I looked at my current billing cycle date. My bill is due on the 18th, so I used that number.
- Then I check my data usage, I checked how much data I’d used so far this month. It was, like, 7.2 GB. I rounded that to 7.
- I also looked at the last four digits of my phone number,Let’s just say they were 4321 for this example.
Then,I combined all these random numbers: 18 (billing date), 7 (data usage), and 4321(last four digits of phone number).
I wanted a horoscope,So I went to a generic horoscope website,picked the one that I wanted, and I just went to that page and read what ever words showed on that page.
It’s utterly silly and makes absolutely no sense, but that’s kind of the point, I guess. It’s not a real thing, just something fun to mess around with.
