Well, hello there, everyone! Today, we’re gonna yak about this… this thing called the “Book of Shadows Tarot book.” Don’t rightly know what all them fancy words mean, but I’ll tell ya what I know, ya hear?
Now, some folks, they call it a “Tarot deck,” and others, they jabber on ’bout “Book of Shadows.” Sounds spooky, like somethin’ outta a witch’s cupboard, but it ain’t nothin’ to be scared of, I reckon. It’s just a bunch of purdy pictures on cards, you see. Lots and lots of pictures.
- Some pictures got angels and devils.
- Some got cups and swords.
- And some, well, they just got folks doin’ everyday things.
This here “Book of Shadows Tarot,” it’s got two parts, like two peas in a pod. One’s called “As Above,” and the other’n is called “So Below.” Fancy names, ain’t they? “As Above,” that one’s all ’bout the higher-up stuff, the spirits and the stars and all that jazz. “So Below,” that’s ’bout us folks down here on earth, our everyday lives and troubles.
Now, this Barbara Moore lady, she’s the one who cooked up this whole idea. She wrote a whole book about it, too. A big ol’ book, 160 pages they say! Must’ve taken her a coon’s age to write all that. I ain’t never read a book that long in my life, I tell ya. But she knows her stuff, this Barbara. She and them other folks, Grzegorz Krysinski, Simone Gabrielli, Sabrina Ariganello, and Alessia Pastorello, they all worked together on this thing. Must’ve been a real barn-raisin’ of a project!
So, what do you do with these cards? Well, some folks use ’em to tell fortunes. You shuffle ’em up, lay ’em out, and then look at the pictures. Each picture means somethin’, you see. Like, a cup might mean happiness, and a sword might mean trouble. But it ain’t always so cut and dried. It’s all in how you look at it, I guess.
Now, I heard tell some folks use these cards just for fun, just for a laugh. And that’s alright, I reckon. Nothin’ wrong with a bit of fun. But others, they take it real serious. They study them cards, try to figure out all the hidden meanin’s. They use ‘em to help ‘em make decisions, or to understand their lives better. It’s up to you how you want to use ‘em, I say.
And you don’t gotta be some kind of fancy pants scholar to use these cards neither. This Barbara lady, she says even beginners can use ‘em. And that’s good, ‘cause I ain’t no scholar, that’s for sure. I just look at the pictures and try to make sense of ‘em. Sometimes it works, sometimes it don’t. That’s life, ain’t it?
You can even get this “Book of Shadows Tarot” on your phone or your iPad, if you’re one of them techy folks. I don’t know nothin’ ’bout that stuff, but I hear it’s real handy. You can carry them cards around with you wherever you go. Imagine that! Pictures on a little screen. What will they think of next?
This here Tarot, it’s got all sorts of pictures from everyday life. You know, folks goin’ to work, eatin’ dinner, arguin’ with their neighbors… that sort of thing. So, you can see yourself in them pictures, you see? And that helps you understand what the cards are tryin’ to tell you.
So, that’s the long and short of it, I reckon. The “Book of Shadows Tarot book” is just a bunch of cards with pictures on ‘em. You can use ‘em to tell fortunes, or just for fun. It’s up to you. Just remember, it ain’t nothin’ to be scared of. It’s just a tool, like a hammer or a shovel. And like any tool, you gotta learn how to use it right. But once you do, well, who knows what you might discover?
And whether you are just starting out or you been at it a long time, this here deck seems to have somethin’ for everyone. So, go on, give it a try. You might be surprised at what you find. That’s all I got to say ’bout it.
