Alright, today’s topic is “chapter 14 quiz psychological disorders”. Let me tell you how I handled this.
First off, I started by getting a basic understanding of what we were supposed to do. It’s all about mental disorders, you know, those conditions that mess with your thoughts, feelings, and behavior. I needed to get a handle on what this was all about.
So, I dug into some flashcards I found online. They talked about defining abnormal behavior and mentioned conditions like anorexia nervosa. I also read about how mental disorders involve a persistent disturbance in behavior or thoughts. One professor, Hexter, was mentioned, who believes that these disorders often come from unconscious conflicts.
Then, I focused on the main criteria for diagnosing a behavior as abnormal. They called them deviance, maladaptive behavior, and so on. I also learned about the 5Ds: Deviation, Duration, Distress, Dysfunction, and Danger. These were supposed to help understand what might be a mental illness.
I also came across this bio-psycho-social model, which suggests that these disorders have biological, psychological, and social causes. It was a lot to take in, but it was starting to make sense. Basically, psychological disorders are ongoing patterns of thought, emotion, and behavior that cause significant distress and are considered deviant in a person’s culture or society.
My quiz experience
- Studied definitions of abnormal behavior.
- Learned about anorexia nervosa and other conditions.
- Read about the 5Ds framework for identifying mental illnesses.
- Explored the bio-psycho-social model for understanding the causes.
At first, it was tough. So many concepts and cases to remember. I spent hours going through the material, trying to remember all these details. This quiz really tested my knowledge. The questions were tricky, and I had to think hard about each one.
But, as I went through the quiz, I started to feel more confident. The stuff I studied really helped me answer the questions. I made sure to take my time and not rush through it. In the end, I think I did pretty well. I managed to get through all the questions, and I felt like I understood the material a lot better than before.
Overall, it was a good learning experience. I learned a lot about psychological disorders, and I feel like I have a better grasp of the subject now. It was challenging, but also rewarding. I’m glad I took the time to study and prepare for it. It definitely paid off in the end.
Hope my experience is helpful to you guys. Feel free to ask if any of you have questions, I will try my best to answer!
