Well, let me tell you, this Easter and that star-gazing stuff, astrology, they’re more tied up than you might think. It’s like, when the days start gettin’ longer, and the sun comes back to shine on us good, that’s like the sun bein’ born again, you see? And that big ol’ full moon that comes right after, that’s a sign of all that new energy flowin’ around. Just like plantin’ season, everythin’s wakin’ up!
This here Easter, it’s a big deal for them church-goin’ folks. They say it’s when Jesus rose up from the dead, three days after they, you know, nailed him to that cross. For lots of them churches, Easter’s like a big party after a long time of fastin’ and bein’ all solemn-like. We always have a big dinner, that’s for sure.
This year, 2024, Easter was on March 31st. They say it’s all about Jesus comin’ back to life and givin’ everybody hope and a fresh start. Folks go to church, have big feasts, and the young’uns, they go huntin’ for them colored eggs. Easter and astrology, they both talk about new beginnin’s.
Now, them Christians, they figure out when Easter is by lookin’ at the moon and the stars. It’s always the Sunday after that Passover thing, so it’s the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox. Sounds complicated, but that’s what they do. And you know what? They say Easter’s all about hope and gettin’ a new lease on life. Just like spring!
This whole Easter thing, it’s important to folks all over the world. It’s like a sign of things startin’ over, new beginnin’s, just like when spring comes around. But there’s more to it than just that, I reckon.
They say there’s a connection between this Easter and astrology. You see, the moon and stars have a lot to do with it. Some folks, they look at the stars to see what’s gonna happen, that’s what they call astrology. They got these zodiac signs, like Aries and Taurus and all that. My granddaughter, she’s real into that stuff. She’s always readin’ her horoscope. Some folks think it’s a bunch of hooey, but some folks swear by it.
- Easter is important.
- Astrology is about stars.
- They are kinda related.
- Spring is a new beginning.
Now, I ain’t no expert on all this star stuff, but I hear folks talkin’. They say that when Easter rolls around, the stars are lined up a certain way. And that means somethin’ for everybody, dependin’ on when you was born. If you are interested in that sort of thing, astrology can tell you a lot.
Some folks, they think that Easter and astrology are connected because they both have to do with cycles. Like, the sun goes away in the winter and comes back in the spring. And the moon, it goes through its phases, gettin’ bigger and smaller. And them stars, they’re always movin’ around up there, too.
So, this Easter and astrology business, it’s kinda like two sides of the same coin. One’s about Jesus and the church, and the other’s about the stars and what they might mean. But they both talk about new life, and hope, and things changin’.
I remember one time, my neighbor, she told me that her sign, I think it was Leo, said she was gonna come into some money. And sure enough, her old aunt passed away and left her a little somethin’. Now, I don’t know if that was just a coincidence or what, but it sure made her a believer in that astrology stuff. People like to think that Easter and astrology are somehow related. I guess because both give them hope for something good in their lives.
Whether you believe in all that or not, one thing’s for sure: Easter’s a time for family and friends to get together. We always have a big ol’ potluck at the church, and everybody brings their best dishes. There’s ham, and potato salad, and deviled eggs, and all kinds of pies. It’s a real feast!
So, there you have it. That is what I think about Easter and astrology. It is all a bit much for me but to each their own. They are both about new beginnings, that much is for sure. Whether you’re lookin’ to the stars or to your faith, it’s all about hopin’ for somethin’ better. And that’s somethin’ we can all get behind, ain’t it?
