Well, howdy there! Let’s chew the fat about them horoscopes, you know, the ones that Eugenia Last fella writes about. I ain’t no scholar, but I reckon I can tell ya what’s what, the same way I’d tell ya about the weather or the price of eggs.
So, Eugenia, she’s like that old hen in the henhouse, always clucking about what the stars are up to. She says stuff like, “Look for opportunities in unusual places,” for them Aries folks on the 24th. Now, what does that even mean? I guess it means keep your eyes peeled, maybe you’ll find a dollar on the road or a good deal at the market. It’s like finding a lucky penny, you know? Don’t go lookin’ for trouble, but keep an open mind.
She does this for all them star signs. You got your Aries, your Taurus, your Gemini, and all the rest. It’s like a whole barnyard full of different critters, each one with its own way of doing things. Eugenia, she tries to figure out what each critter is gonna do based on the stars. I tell you what, it’s more complicated than milkin’ a cow on a cold morning!

- And if you’re a Cancer, well, maybe you’ll be clingy like a burr on a dog’s tail.
It’s all just a bunch of talk, really, but folks seem to like it. They read their horoscopes and feel like they know what’s comin’. It’s like havin’ a little map of the road ahead. Now, I don’t know if them stars really control our lives. Seems to me we make our own luck. But it don’t hurt none to listen to what Eugenia has to say. She’s been doin’ this for a long time, so she must know somethin’, right?
She says things like, “Shed light on obscure situations. Let your thoughts be…” well, she goes on and on. I ain’t sure what “obscure” means, but I reckon it’s like somethin’ hidden or hard to see. And lettin’ your thoughts be…well, I guess that means thinkin’ things through, not jumpin’ to conclusions like a frog in a hot skillet. It’s about thinkin’ afore you leap, kinda like when you’re crossin’ a creek, make sure the rocks ain’t too slippery.
And she talks about celebrities too! Like Michael Strahan. I don’t know him from Adam, but apparently, he’s got a birthday and a star sign just like the rest of us. I guess even them fancy folks in the city wanna know what the stars have to say.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ you should bet the farm on what Eugenia says. But it’s kinda like readin’ the tea leaves or lookin’ at the clouds. It’s a way of tryin’ to make sense of the world, of feelin’ like you got some control over what’s happenin’. And sometimes, that’s all you need to get through the day. Just like plantin’ by the moon, some folks swear by it, some folks don’t. It’s up to you, I guess.
So, go ahead and read your horoscope. It might not tell you the future, but it might give you somethin’ to think about. And who knows, maybe them stars will line up just right and you’ll have a day that’s finer than a frog’s hair split four ways. Just remember to take it all with a grain of salt. Life’s too short to worry about what the stars think. Just keep your feet on the ground, your head in the game, and your heart open, and you’ll be just fine.
Anyways, that’s just my two cents on the matter. Like I said, I’m no scholar, just a plain ol’ person tryin’ to make sense of things. But if Eugenia Last wants to keep on clucking about them stars, I reckon I’ll keep on listenin’, even if I don’t always understand what she’s talkin’ about. You can’t let it all go in one ear and out the other though. You gotta think about it a bit, you know? Like chewin’ your cud.
