Alright, so you wanna know about them green laser pointers for lookin’ at the stars, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, I ain’t no scientist or nothin’, but I know a thing or two ‘cause I seen folks usin’ ’em.
First off, why green, ya ask? Seems like them green ones are the brightest. Don’t ask me why, somethin’ about the light and how our eyes see it. They say it’s the best color for seein’ at night. Other colors just ain’t as good, plain and simple. You can get them red ones and blue ones, but they just don’t shine like the green. It’s like tryin’ to find a black cat in a coal cellar at midnight, you just ain’t gonna see it good.
Now, what do ya use ‘em for? Well, it’s like this. You’re out there in the dark, lookin’ up at all them twinkly things, and you wanna show your friend, “Hey, look at that there star!” But pointin’ with your finger ain’t gonna do it. That’s where the laser comes in. You just shine that little green beam, and BAM! There it is, plain as day. You can point out all sorts of stuff, stars, planets, even them shootin’ stars if you’re lucky.
Some folks, they use ‘em for teachin’. Like them teachers that show kids about the sky. They got these fancy names for all them stars and groups of stars, constellations they call ‘em. How else you gonna show a whole bunch of kids where somethin’ is way up there? You can’t just throw rocks at it, can ya? You need somethin’ bright and easy to see, and that’s what these green lasers do.
- They’re good for pointin’ at stars.
- They’re good for showin’ planets.
- They’re even good for pointin’ at them what-you-call-its, constellations.
Now, there’s all kinds of these lasers out there. Some are big, some are small, some are cheap, some are…well, not so cheap. You gotta be careful though, don’t go shinin’ them in people’s eyes. That ain’t right, and it could hurt ‘em bad. And don’t go shinin’ ’em at airplanes neither! Them pilots gotta see where they’re goin’, and that bright light could mess ‘em up. Common sense, ya know?
I heard tell of some fancy names for these lasers, like Orion somethin’ or other, and somethin’ about Z-Bolt. Sounds like somethin’ out of a space movie to me. But they all do the same thing, pretty much. Shine a bright green light so you can see stuff way up yonder. Some are stronger than others, though. The stronger ones, they shine farther. But you don’t need the strongest one, just somethin’ that gets the job done.
And get this, they ain’t just for star folks. I heard some folks usin’ ’em for buildin’ stuff too. You know, like makin’ sure a wall is straight or somethin’. Guess that green light is easy to see even in the daytime. But mostly, you see folks usin’ ’em for the stars. It’s a handy tool, no doubt about it. Makes lookin’ at the night sky a whole lot easier, especially if you’re tryin’ to show somebody somethin’ specific.
So, if you’re thinkin’ about gettin’ one of them green laser pointers for lookin’ at the stars, I say go for it. Just be careful, use it right, and don’t be a fool with it. It’s a tool, not a toy. And who knows, maybe you’ll discover somethin’ new up there in the sky, all thanks to that little green light.
Remember, they are pretty cheap now, and most folks that look at the stars have one. You can get them from those big stores, or online. Just make sure you get a good one, ya know, one that ain’t gonna break on ya right away.
Anyways, that’s about all I know about them green laser things. Hope it helps ya out. Now go on out there and enjoy them stars!
