Alright, let’s talk about this…uh… “ascent psychological services,” whatever that fancy name means. Sounds like somethin’ for the head, right? Like, if your brain’s all tangled up like a ball of yarn, these folks might help you straighten it out. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I’ve seen my share of folks with worries and troubles, so I reckon I can tell ya a thing or two about it.
Now, from what I gather, Ascent Psychological Services is a place in San Diego where they help people with their thinkin’ and feelin’s. They got these folks called “therapists” or some such, and these therapists, they listen to you and try to figure out what’s botherin’ ya. Sounds like a lot of listenin’ and talkin’ if you ask me.
- They do all sorts of things, seems like. They help folks with things like, you know, feelin’ sad all the time, or worried sick, or maybe even those little ones who act a bit different.
- They call it “ABA principles” somethin’ somethin’. Sounds complicated, but I guess it means they got their own way of doin’ things.
- And it ain’t just for one person at a time, no sirree. They got these “group trainings” too. Imagine gettin’ a whole bunch of folks together, all talkin’ about their problems. Sounds like a hen house to me, but I guess it works for some.
They say they even teach other folks how to be therapists. Trainin’ other therapists, that’s what they do. They go to schools and teach the teachers, and they go to companies and teach the bosses. Must be a lot of learnin’ involved in that. And this doctor, Dr. Elder they call her, she’s the one doin’ most of the teachin’ and helpin’. She seems like a busy woman, always goin’ around and talkin’ to different folks.
They also help companies and non-profits, whatever those are. Big places, I guess. They teach ’em about how some folks’ brains work different, like those “neurodiversity” and “autism” things. Sounds like they’re tryin’ to make the world a little bit more understandin’, which ain’t a bad thing, I reckon. They also help little kids too, “early intervention” they call it. Means gettin’ help for the young’uns before things get too bad.
If you’re lookin’ for someone to talk to, they got a bunch of different folks you can pick from. They say they got a “database” of therapists. Sounds fancy, like a big ol’ phone book but for your head. And they make sure all these therapists are good at what they do, “licensed” and all that. So you don’t gotta worry about gettin’ some quack who don’t know nothin’. They want to connect you with the right one who can help you with your “mental health.” That just means your thinkin’ and feelin’s, far as I can tell.
And they don’t just sit around and chat all day, seems like. They also do somethin’ called “diagnostic assessment.” That sounds like they try to figure out exactly what’s wrong with ya. Like, instead of just sayin’ you’re sad, they try to figure out why you’re sad. Makes sense, I guess. Gotta know what’s broken before you can fix it, right?
So, if you’re in San Diego and your head’s feelin’ all jumbled up, maybe give these Ascent Psychological Services folks a try. They seem to know their stuff. They help folks with all sorts of problems, from little worries to big ones. And they do it for all sorts of people, from little kids to big companies. They even got a phone number you can call. (858) 888-9062, that’s what they say. And a website too, though I ain’t too good with them computer things myself.
They’re located in San Diego and consider themselves a Hospitals and Health Care facility, offering Psychological Services and doing Diagnostic Assessment. Seems like they do a lot to help people. Now, I ain’t sayin’ this is a cure-all for everythin’. Life’s tough, always has been, always will be. But if you’re feelin’ lost and need someone to talk to, it sounds like these folks might be able to lend an ear and maybe even help you find your way. Mental health, that’s what they call it, is important for everybody.
So there you have it. That’s what I know about this Ascent Psychological Services. Hope it helps ya, and remember, ain’t nothin’ wrong with askin’ for help when you need it. We all get a little tangled up sometimes.
