Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get into astrology for a while now, but it’s like, a whole universe of stuff to learn. Seriously, it can get pretty overwhelming with all the signs, planets, houses, and whatnot. So, I finally decided to make things easier for myself and create a cheat sheet. Yep, you heard that right, a good old-fashioned cheat sheet to help me navigate this cosmic maze.
First things first, I needed to figure out what the heck I should even put on this cheat sheet. I mean, there’s just so much to astrology, where do I even begin? After scrolling through countless websites and getting lost in a sea of information, I had a lightbulb moment. I realized I needed to start with the basics – the stuff that everything else is built on.
The Building Blocks
So, I started with the zodiac signs. All twelve of them, from Aries to Pisces. I jotted down their symbols, their ruling elements like fire, earth, air, and water, and their qualities, you know, whether they’re cardinal, fixed, or mutable. It sounds fancy, but it’s basically just how they express their energy.
- Aries: Ram, Fire, Cardinal
- Taurus: Bull, Earth, Fixed
- Gemini: Twins, Air, Mutable
- Cancer: Crab, Water, Cardinal
- Leo: Lion, Fire, Fixed
- Virgo: Virgin, Earth, Mutable
- Libra: Scales, Air, Cardinal
- Scorpio: Scorpion, Water, Fixed
- Sagittarius: Archer, Fire, Mutable
- Capricorn: Goat, Earth, Cardinal
- Aquarius: Water Bearer, Air, Fixed
- Pisces: Fish, Water, Mutable
Next up were the planets. Each planet has its own vibe and represents different things in our lives. I wrote down what each planet is all about. Like, Mercury is the chatty one, all about communication, while Venus is the lover, ruling over things like relationships and beauty. I mean some websites even use all of those fancy symbols, but I just use texts which are easier for me.
Putting It All Together
Once I had the signs and planets down, I moved on to the houses. Think of them like different areas of your life, like career, family, and love. There are twelve houses, just like the zodiac signs, and each one has its own meaning. I kept it simple and just wrote down the main keywords for each house.
Finally, I decided to add a little section on aspects, which are basically the relationships between planets. It’s like, are these planets getting along, or are they causing some drama? I only included the major aspects like conjunctions, oppositions, and squares, because, let’s be real, I’m not trying to become a professional astrologer overnight!
Making It Pretty (and Printable!)
After I had all the info I wanted, it was time to make this thing look presentable. I played around with different layouts and fonts until I found something that was easy on the eyes. I made sure to leave enough space between each section so it didn’t feel too cluttered. And most importantly, I made it printable!
So, there you have it. My very own astrology cheat sheet. It’s not perfect, but it’s a start. Now, whenever I’m reading a birth chart or trying to understand an astrological concept, I can just whip out my cheat sheet and have all the basic info right at my fingertips. It’s like having a little astrology dictionary with me at all times. I highly recommend making one if you’re also starting out on your astrology journey!
