Okay, so I’ve been seeing these tarot card tests popping up everywhere online, and I finally caved and decided to give one a try myself. I’m not usually into this kind of stuff, but hey, why not? I figured I’d document the whole thing, just for kicks.
Finding a Deck
First things first, I needed a deck. I didn’t want to buy a physical one, it’s too much commitment. So, I went on a hunt for a good online version. There are tons, but I settled on one that looked decent, with virtual card shuffling and everything. It felt…almost real.
The Question, and My Skepticism
Next up, I needed a question. I’m not sure, It’s supposed to be something you’re genuinely curious about, right? I spent a good 10 minutes just staring at my screen, totally blank. Should I ask about my career? My love life? Should I ask about the weather? I decided on something pretty general: “What’s the overall vibe of my life right now?”
I tried to take it seriously, I did, clicked the shuffle button, and watched the virtual cards flip around. The website told me to “focus on my question” while this was happening. I think my cat walked across my keyboard around this time, so I’m not sure how focused I actually was. Then I picked three cards.
Decoding the Mystery
- Card 1: The Past. Mine was The Star, which sounds positive, right? I skimmed the interpretation that came with it. It supposedly means that, I have to hope and have faith. So I think maybe things were looking up.
- Card 2: The Present. I got The Lovers. Okay, that’s interesting. I am not sure if it means that I am in love, or maybe I’m at a crossroads, making important decisions.
- Card 3: The Future. This one was The World. From what I read, it’s all about completion, achievement, and travel. Travel sounds nice.
My Very Unscientific Conclusion
So, what did I make of all this? Honestly, I don’t know. I still think that maybe it’s all a bit vague and could apply to anyone. But I have to admit, it was kind of fun. It got me thinking about my life from a different perspective, even if that perspective was generated by some random website.
Would I do it again? Maybe. It was a decent way to kill 30 minutes. Plus, now I can say I’ve officially tried a tarot card test. And now I have this cool log of my experience. Who knows, maybe I’ll look back on this in a few months and be amazed by how accurate it turned out to be. Or, more likely, I’ll have completely forgotten about it.
