Okay, so, the other day I stumbled upon this thing called “Primal Astrology.” Sounds wild, right? I’ve always been into the usual horoscopes, you know, the Western Zodiac stuff, and I’ve dabbled a bit in the Chinese Zodiac too. But this Primal Astrology thing? It’s like they took both and mashed them together into something totally new.
So I got curious and started digging.
First, I found this website that lists out all these combinations. They call them “Primal Zodiac signs.” Apparently, there are 144 of them! That’s a lot more than the usual 12, so I was already intrigued.
I spent a good chunk of time just browsing through the list, trying to make sense of it all. It’s organized by the Western Zodiac signs first, and then under each of those, they have all the Chinese Zodiac signs paired up with it.
Finding My Sign
Now, I’m a Gemini, born in the Year of the Ox. According to this Primal Astrology stuff, that makes me a specific sign in their system. I scrolled down to Gemini and then looked for the Ox. Turns out, people who are a combination of these two signs are, as they describe, “full of strength and energy.” They are also said to be spontaneous and easygoing. Hmmm.
- I read through a few more descriptions of other combinations, just to see what they were like.
- I even checked out the rarest sign, which is apparently Aquarius, but they didn’t specify which animal it was paired with.
Putting it to the Test
Now, here’s where it got really interesting. I decided to try and figure out the Primal Zodiac signs of some of my friends and family. It was actually kind of fun! It was also time consuming.
I started with my best friend, who’s a Leo born in the Year of the Dragon. Then I did my sister, who’s a Scorpio born in the Year of the Rat. I went through each person I could think of. I wrote all the combinations in my notebook. I then compared the descriptions with their personalities.
My Thoughts
Honestly, some of the descriptions were surprisingly accurate! It was kind of cool, that this seemingly random combination of two different astrology systems could actually tell me something, even something small, about the people I know.
I wouldn’t say I’m a complete convert to Primal Astrology or anything, but it was definitely a fun experiment. It’s an interesting way to look at the people around you, and maybe even learn a little something new about yourself. If you’ve got some time to kill, I’d say give it a shot. You might be surprised at what you find!
