Okay, so I’ve been messing around with tarot cards lately, and I got this idea to make a “yes or no” list. It’s kinda like flipping a coin, but with, you know, vibes. I wanted to see if I could get quick answers to simple questions, and also kind of get to know the cards better.

Getting Started
First, I grabbed my deck. It’s just a standard Rider-Waite deck I picked up a while back. Nothing fancy. Then, I shuffled the cards really well, like, really well. I wanted to make sure they were good and mixed up. As I shuffled, I was thinking about making this list.
Figuring Out the “Yes” Cards
Next, I started pulling cards one by one. The idea was to decide which cards felt like a “yes” to me. It wasn’t about what the “official” meanings were, but more about my gut feeling. I looked at each card, held it for a second, and just asked myself, “Does this feel like a yes?”.
- The Sun, for sure, was a big YES. It just screams positivity.
- The Star also felt like a yes. It’s all about hope and good things coming.
- The World – another definite yes. Completion, success, you know?
- Most of the Aces felt like yeses too. New beginnings and all that.
- I added quite a lot of cards to the yes.
I kept going like this, sorting the cards into a “yes” pile and a “maybe/no” pile.
Dealing with the “No” Cards
This part was a little trickier. Some cards were obvious “no” cards, like:

- The Tower – Major disruption, so, yeah, no.
- The Five of Swords – Conflict and defeat. Nope.
- Ten of Swords.
But others were harder. I mean, the cards aren’t really meant to be just yes or no, right? So some of them I just couldn’t decide. I put those in a separate pile. I figure those are the “maybe” cards, or the ones that need more context.
Putting It All Together
After going through the whole deck, I had three piles: a “yes” pile, a “no” pile, and a “maybe/depends” pile. I wrote down all the cards in each pile in my notebook.
Testing It Out
Of course, I had to try it out! I asked a few simple questions, like, “Should I have pizza for dinner?” (The answer was yes, by the way. The Chariot popped up!). I also asked, “Will it rain tomorrow?” (The Five of Pentacles – a no). It’s silly, but it’s fun!

I’m not saying this is a foolproof method or anything. It’s just a little experiment. But it’s a cool way to get to know the cards a little better, and hey, it might even give you some surprisingly accurate answers sometimes. Who knows! It’s all part of the fun of tarot, I guess. It helps me to practice making decisions with a simple yes or no question.
